This is a youth HOSTEL, not for grown ups. First the AC is shared by 4 rooms, so you have to take in consideration that your neighbor may close it down for you in the middle of the night. There is no reception around the clock, so if you have a problem, well, you have a problem. You are on...

We booked this hotel after seeing photos of it online looking smart and airy. In actual fact our room was quite small. I requested a double bed and a window, we got a small balcony which may not have been safe to stand on judging by it's tilt and cracks. We got two twin beds which we pushed together. As...

My boyfriend and I were travelling in and around Barcelona and stopped 3 days at the Hostal Express. Initially we were only supposed to be there one day but due to a change on plans we booked an extra 2 nights after our first night which they happily accommodated at the same price that I had received via the online...

The room looks very modern, loved the design with the nice little private bathroom. Location is alright as it is located not far from a metro station. However, since it is near a busy street, it can get pretty noisy. But overall, a nice place to stay in a nice city.

Clean rooms with comfortable beds in great location. Very close to metro station, friendly staff and good bathroom facilities. Great value for money however the walls are a little thin so you may hear the people in the next room if they are loud, not alot of street noise though. I would recommend this hotel if on a budget

Staying in Gracia

Neighbourhood Profile
Gracia
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theatre that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
