Went for a four night trip for my wife's birthday in March. The weather was excellent warm and sunny, this was our first city break to Spain and it didn't disappoint. The hotel Clutat Vella is centrally located and with good transport links close by. Only good things to say about the hotel we stayed on a bed and breakfast...

It is very clean hotel, near the famous (5 min to walk) Ramble. The breakfast from 7 am (which is very convenient for travelers) was excellent, afternoon coffee was available. The service was always good. Special thank you to Joaquin and Meritxell!

Where to start with this property... The room was not ready. The personnel was rude inattentive and disinterested. The room was extra small even for 2 beds. We ask for air conditioning and they responded that there was a problem of some sort and was not available. Their solution: open the window to get some cool air. The beds were...

The hotel is located at a very convenient location just 2 mts from la rambla, public transport, supermarket . We stayed for 2 nights and the rooms very pretty good . Breakfast was also pretty decent. Worth mentioning is the friendly and helpful attitude of the receptionist (Anna) who was always welcoming and answered all our questions and provided recommendations....

We visited as a couple for two nights during in the week to do some sightseeing and be typical tourists so this hotel location was great! Very central, 1 min walk away from las rambles and the metro system. The room was basic, no fridge to keep drinks cold and no air con. Also the window opened out into a...

Amazing location, 1 min. to La Rambla. Personnel was very friendly, breakfast was filling enough for eu standards. Room was comfortable and bigger than I expected. We liked so much this hotel. The only thing that I didnt like is the poor wifi. A stronger wifi would be better. Would stay again. Highly reccommended...

This little hotel is amazing value, and the staff couldn't be more helpful. It's very central, between Catalunya and Universitat. Loads of little local places to eat nearby, and just a 5 minute walk from the Ramblas (if you can bear the crowds there). We asked for a quiet room, and whilst the "view" wasn't up to much, we weren't...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
