Only stayed here for one night prior to a cruise and the hotel had been recommended by the travel agents. Taxi driver could not find hotel as there is no external sign (in fairness he did switch off the meter whilst searching) The street address is number 66 which is worth remembering. We arrived just after 11 am but the...

Great location. Wonderful stay. Good value for the money. Mucci is a great restaurant across the street. Door to hotel is locked at night, so is safe. Can walk to lots of places: restaurants, shops and bars. Love Barcelona - stay here!

Stayed here a while ago but have not written a review. Stayed here with a group for a weekend and this really is a great little hotel which is clean, modern and cheap. One of the best points is its location which is just off the top end of the Ramblas. Beds are good, and bathroom has a good shower...

We have just returned from a terrific weekend in Barcelona. A superb 'basic' hotel in an excellent location close to Las Ramblas and Placa de Catalunya. NOTE - no external signage displaying the hotel name/location - make a note of the street address number otherwise you could spend a frustrating time searching for the hotel. Previous comments appear accurate -...

Service is great and staff are friendly. Rooms are spacious and if you book in advance in time, you can get a reasonable deal. 3 minutes walk to La Rambla and Plaza Catalunya....and a couple of Metro stops. Bottled water and tea/coffee are free. Only reservation is some noise at the front of the hotel from a bar/Restaraunt across the...

Very nice hotel, friendly staff, close to all the central attractions in Barcelona - just 5 minutes of walking from Universitat or Placa Catalunya Metro stations. The rooms in modern style, with comfortable bed, safe and big shower. The hotel provides mineral water unlimitedly. Needs to be improved: no minibar in the room, and the assortment of food in breakfast...

Booked our week's stay based on the price and reviews and could not fault the hotel. We had seen previous reviewers warning about breakins but we had no experience of this and had a great time overall. The free water and the wifi was great. We did not have breakfast at the hotel as there were so many small bakeries...

Centrally located at 2 minutes walk to La Ramblas and the close to 2 metro stations, this was the ideal spot for a night in Barcelona prior to taking a cruise. In addition it is walking distance to the Colom monument at the end of La Ramblas where we took the shuttle bus to our ship...not taxi, no public transportation...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
