My boyfriend and I just stayed at the Apartment Provenca property for 4 nights (October 2012). Adorable apartment, perfect for a couple. We loved having breakfast on the little balcony, and having the washing machine was ideal! The whole place was very quiet, being on...More

Barcelona is one of our favorite cities. We have been visiting for many years and each time staying in one of the Barcelona B&B properties. The location of the B&B is ideal as the heart of town is only a few blocks off but when...More
The value of the Provença apartment for €90/night in Eixample neighborhood of downtown Barcelona was unbeatable. Safe location, clean facilities (bed and kitchen) elevator, clothes washer, wi-fi (slow but you're not going to want to sit home and go on Facebook all day) was all...More

Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best
exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.

We were there for 3 nights also. We bought the hop on and off bus for 2 days so you can see a lot and the third walked to places we hadn't been to yet. We walked for 6 hours one day and it was great cause there is so much to see. It would have done it again I would have taken the bus to the beach for the day. There is a part of the old town that has lots of little shops. ( more in the area of the Picasso museum).
But yes northern end and bring good walking shoes or sandals
