I only stayed for one night but I enjoyed the location of the hostel and friendliness of the staff! It was very clean and very comfortable. They were really nice to keep my luggage for me after checkout so that I could do a little more sightseeing before I left Barcelona! Totally recommend this place.

Amazing hosts, super helpful and kind. They made the stay worthwhile. Overall, this is a very cool (a lot of images and colors) and laid back hostel...with a real kitchen and tv common area / pc and wifi (not in all the hostel). Few minutes far from La Rambla and La Boqueria, in the middle of Raval: a great experience.

The room i stayed was colorful and clean. The hostel is located in a very nice place, 2 min far from Rambla, metro station Liceu and a lot of places to go out or dinner. Other than that, the staff is very honest and helpful. I left a small bag with money on it, it was the money for the...

We loved that place and would come again. Our room was perfect, nice and painted in friendly colours. There was a sink and it was warmly heated. We didn't have a bathroom but the common bathrooms were very clean and the water in the shower was always perfectly hot. You are in Rambla so quickly, it's just a 3 min...

I stayed in a two person room with my brother for three days of a week-long stay in August. The hostel's location was excellent, but it was difficult to find when we arrived at night, as it is up a flight of steps in what looks like a normal building. The staff were friendly and helpful, but our room was...

We were there for 7 nights, and couldn't ask for more! We ordered a room with 2 bads and common bathroom. When we arrived this wonderfull lady (lovely Cecilia) welcomed us saying they upgraded our room to a room with bathroom. Then she took a map and marked all the important places we should see, and where can we eat...

My friend and I stayed at this hostel this past summer for 3 nights. We made the reservations last minute and didn't get to the hostel until 3AM because of a late flight and the staff were extremely nice and accommodating. They were also really helpful with mapping out where we wanted to go on a map. We stayed in...

I stayed in a 2-person private room in this hostel for a long weekend visit to Barcelona with my mother. It was quite difficult to find despite having printed a map, as it is on 1 floor of a shared building. However the decor is vibrant and inviting and the staff incredibly helpful (giving us a map of Barcelona and...

Had a beautiful stay here! Really lovely and kind staff! They all spoke good english and were more than happy to show us nice places to eat and drink and even websites to check the events in the city (butxaca.com!). Super clean rooms and kitchen. Simply the best hostel I have stayed, it is centric - about 2 blocks from...

Very quiet hostel, comfy beds, clean towels. We were in a on suite double (room 108) and had no complaints. No AC but the fan and an open window sufficed. Wifi doesn't work in the rooms but oh well! Very quiet, there was a family of four while we were there. We were two girls in our mid twenties and...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.

“Stayed in rooms 105, 101 and 106. Room 105, the natural light was from a light well, no view therefore but was airy enough with an en-suite shower room. Room 101 had a balcony and a view of the street which was nice but noisy, no en-suite. Room 106 again the natural light came from a light well, no view therefore, but this time I found the room stuffy despite the fan - again no en-suite.”
