I don't know if I should be tells no the world about this gem of a Hotel in the friendly resort of Sitges near Barcelona. Situated close to the station the hotel uses an old Art Nouvea mansion and a similar building owned by the same family is situated a few yards away. The family own and run the hotel...

Lovely charming Spanish Modernist house with comfortable beds and good buffet breakfast and as every where in Spain excellent coffee with hot milk. (Why is that so difficult in the UK?) The rooms and surroundings are beautiful if not luxe in the overblown way of so many modern chain hotels. Close to the station, town centre and a few minutes...

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times over the years and I can say that breakfast has improved. Room 201 smells of drains and despite complaining they did not resolve the issue or follow up on the matter. It meant that if I left the bathroom door open my whole room would smell bad. It was noisy with young...

Let me start by saying, I try hard to write reviews which are based on facts rather than opinion, I also try and offer a balanced view of things rather than whine about things I didn't like. Our first visit to El Xalet was in June this year, we spotted the restaurant and were impressed by the menu and the...

Simply stunning old merchants house with high ceilings and period rooms and bedrooms. Very chilled out and relaxing, plenty of places to read books and drink a coffee (coffee machine 24/7). Staff very friendly and helpful. No lift, but luckily welcome A/C in July. In the quieter part of town near to the train station (or easy walk from the...

Great location with friendly staff. Much better than the big chain hotels. This used to be a private mansion but was redeveloped into a charming little hotel. The decor and ambience hark back to a distant time. It has high ceilings and stained-glass windows and a graceful old staircase. Breakfast is an enjoyable affair outside around the swimming pool. Being...

We came for a friends birthday dinner and had the set menu. Everything was delicious and the service was great. What a delightful setting. Would recommend this hotel and restaurant to everyone looking for a special treat. Amazing value also!

The hotel is beautiful and the room we were given was perfect. The staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. Lovely breakfast next to the pool. Not sure why this hotel is only graded 2 star. Don't think we have stayed in a lovelier place.

Just come back from this lovely hotel and, even though it has a 2 star official rating (perhaps the tourist office gave it because of facilities), it really should be labelled a 4 star since everyone there (from manager Lenora to chef Raul, to receptionists Alex & Rodrigo) could not do enough for you, and made sure the holiday was...

Great hotel with friendly helpful staff. The hotel is a two minute walk from the station, which is great. There is a very large supermarket even nearer, but neither of them affect your stay in a bad way, there is no noise from them. Our room was large with a very high ceiling, it was a very old Spanish style...
