A delightful garden for a refreshing break from all the intensity of Santiago's frenetic environment. A definite treat for a Camino traveller. After walking a steep road up from San Francesco church on a very hot day it was just perfect. After two beers and a cortado we were ready to hit the cobblestones

We stayed here twice during our Camino. Nice boutique hotel with top notch service. The rooms were a bit smaller than some of the pensions we stayed in, but they were clean and comfortable. The hotel is located near the cathedral in a great part of Santiago. Highly recommended.

We are on a 14 night driving tour of northern Spain, roundtrip from Madrid including Burgos, Bilboa, Santander, Santillana del Mar, Potes, Oviedo, Santiago de Compostela, Pinhao (Douro, Portugal), Salamanca, Segovia. Santiago is our longest stop of 3 nights and we truly love this town! When I first started researching and booking Santiago I booked us in at the Parador...

We loved this delightful secluded garden bar in the old town. We had wine and toasted sandwiches and just enjoyed the peaceful atmond sunshine. Lovely service. The hotel looked very good too! The pond in the garden had a lovely kneeling statue; the smell of the lilies was beautiful.

Don't be disappointed if you can't find a table, this place is hip. We get to enjoy their yard every time we're in Santiago, it actually is a must, well...except when the weather doesn't cooperate. I'm told the Hotel is as charming as their well maintained and landscaped yard, but don't know since they've always been sold out when we...

We had a two night stay at this Guest House/Hotel. I would not describe this accommodation as a hotel as it has none of the facilities one would expect to find in a hotel. ie. reception Bar/Lounge Lift. etc. however it has a lot that some of the best hotels have not. The welcome and courtesy extended by the reception...

Fantastic little hotel. Lovely and attentive staff. Nice rooms & very clean. Very nice gardens. Excellent breakfast. Cheapest hotel bar I've seen in Europe. Five minute walk to centre of town. Would recommend every time. Just a shame we was only there for three days

Costa Vella is a beautiful, charming, comfortable hotel run by staff who care about their guests' comfort and well-being. I did not feel as if I was staying at a hotel, but at a guest house of friends. I look forward to being able to return to Santiago and stay again at Costa Vella. I stayed for 3 nights but...

What an absolutely lovely place to stay! Our room was gorgeous and spacious and overlooked the garden. There was a restful sitting area on each floor with lovely views and comfortable seating. The garden was glorious to sit in and enjoy a glass of wine and breakfast was generous and delicious. What made everything even better was the service which...

Travelling for leisure (and some Christmas shopping) with my wife, we stayed for three nights in a full of light room with a great window over the garden (#105). The generous breakfast by the garden (it was cold outside) included a magnificent "tostada con tomate y aceite de oliva" and everything we asked for. The hotel is in the old...
