The hotel is small, personal and friendly. It is well designed and feels less corporate than other larger places. Staff were all incredibly helpful and the room was spacious and very clean with a great bathroom. Everything is a short walk and there are some very good restaurants nearby. Breakfast was delicious and very good value for money. También muchas...

This is a good hotel, but nothing special about the actual facility. It does get a 4 rating for the excellent staff. Location is excellent, on a quiet street and a short walk to the Cathedral. Didn't have breakfast there, but seemed a bit expensive.

The Hotel is within (at the edge of) the old town area. The room was great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We parked a rental car two short blocks away in a city garage. We stayed five nights and were totally satisfied.

This is An outstanding hotel in a great location and with reasonably priced rooms. The most impressive part of the stay was the personal care and service that was provided. We would return to the Altair Hotel without question. Among the best on our three-week stay in Spain.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Good room but strangely they have orange fire safety light in room which we had to put towels over as too bright at night. You can hear other travellers leaving very early in the morning, they wake you up as the rooms are close together. Nice friendly staff with great advice on where to eat....

Dear Jill: Fire safety lights are a requirement by law, but it is a pity not to know during your stay because we would try to fix it or change room to make your stay more pleasant. Thank you very much for choosing us!

Out of the 60+ nights a year I travel (50 for work and 10+ on holiday), this ranks up with the very best of best!!!!! Great location (with a sensa tional restaurant around corner also tops), such a wonderful vibe. Small size on the quantity of rooms but massive on the quality! A must stay if in Santiago de Compestela

A little luxury at the end of the Camino. Just out of the centre, but less than ten minutes on foot to the cathedral. The location is excellent. Rooms spacious and well appointed modern fittings - which does mean a shallow sink and a comedy shower - but everything works. I'm a little bemused that I've been unable to dry...

I stayed at this hotel about three years ago. I had initially made reservations at Hotel Moure, but due to it being the low season, my reservation was transferred to this hotel. My stay was absolutely fabulous, it's a nice boutique hotel smacked in the historic center of Santiago, at walking distance of the main attractions. The staff was super...

Altair Hotel is the perfect place to stay while visiting Compostela. Really close to all the historic buildings in the old town but away from the noise of Santiago's night life. The room was simply perfect, exactly as described. Nice warm environment (that was awesome as we visited during winter) and amazing morning light thanks to the beautiful windows. Staff...

This hotel is simply superb. I can find no other adjective to better describe this wonderful hotel. What do I like: the design of the rooms is spectacular with a perfect mix of stone walls, woodwork, wood furniture, modern and functional bathrooms, the quality of the linen and towels, the amenities, and simply everything. The hotel is perfectly located, right...
