Cute, small design rooms (some drawbacks: no international TV channel, no great sound isolation with other rooms, size small, no spa/jacuzzi). Excellent friendly service. We got excellent non-touristy good Gallician addresses to eat. Thanks!

My fellow pilgrim and I stayed at this hotel last week when we completed the Camino Portugues - for me it was a second visit, having stayed there when it originally opened in 2005. It really is everything other reviews have said, and more. Apart from being a very comfortable and well appointed hotel, the staff are the best thing...

I stayed there for 4 nights after walking 800km from France. It was so lovely and amazing. The staff were so kind and didn't treat be badly because I looked like a tired Pilgrim. I'll be back there soon. The breakfast jams are to die for! I even bought a jar of violet petal jam! enjoy xx

This hotel is an absolute gem. Beyond beng just a great value, and a wonderful hotel, I cannot say enough about the staff here. Happy, friendly, accomodating, and beyond polite. This is my new favourite place. Tracy M - Lions Bay, BC, Canada

My wife and our infant son stayed here for 3 nights around Christmas. My parents had another room on the same floor. This is a great hotel and we had an excellent stay! The staff was very helpful. As we were staying over Christmas we were worried about availability of restaurants for Christmas dinner. The hotel recommended an extremely nice...

The staff at this hotel will bend over backward to make sure your visit goes well. My husband and I came with our son, his wife and our new grandson and we were fortunate to have the top floor rooms (there were only two up there!). We felt we were in a large apartment with glorious views and space galore....

Our stay at Hotel Altair was great. Very nicely renovated hotel, walking distance to everything you would want to see, including restaurants they recommended which were outstanding. Very helpful staff, good breakfast, good recommendations. Their sister hotel is a block away (Costa Vella) and has a nice garden to have a coffee or drink in. We very much enjoyed our...

The Altair is a small hotel, but its looks can fool you. Me and my husband stayed in a ground floor which had its own 'gazebo', very quiet, adorable and relaxing, where we could read and unstring from our long and pleasant walks. The staff is absolutely amiable and attentive. The girls at the front desk would explain and suggest...

I found this hotel in Tripadvisor. It was chosen as the 1st favourite hotel in Santiago de Compostela. Now I understand why... Although it was a bit hard to find it, since all streets in Santiago are narrow, confusing and all look the same, once we found it, it was like finding an oasis. No exaggeration. The welcome was very...
