The hotel has been recently refurbished and was clean and comfortable. It still maintained its historic aspect. We had a standard room and it was larger than most hotels with a separate sitting area and rooms look out over the sea. The breakfast was of good quality and the service was very good. We visited over the Christmas period and the hotel...

We stayed at the Rock Hotel during a long weekend break in Gibraltar. An easy taxi journey from the airport took us to the hotel. We were early and our room was not available so we just sat in the bar and soaked up the fantastic view across the bay. The room itself was good but at first we found...

A very iconic hotel in Gibraltar. Comfy, clean and everything I expected. The wifi was excellent everywhere in the hotel. Lovely size room with great views onto the straights of Gibraltar. We watched the sun setting from the terrace bar, wonderful and especially as it's only January. Breakfast was more than enough, a mixture of continental and cooked items, they...

My wife and I visited the rock hotel in January first impression was good, staff very friendly, service good. hotel has a colonial feel like a gentleman's club. Rooms are large with nice balconies and great views. Food and drink are good and reasonably priced. It's on the hill and although the walk down to the centre is fine would...

We had two connecting rooms with balconies for our family of five. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the view from the balconies were incredible! Would definitely stay here again! Very convenient location as we were able to walk to the tram to get to the top of the rock as well as walk to a waterfront restaurant.

Stayed here for 2 nights visiting family that live in Gib. An overall pleasant stay but with some ups and downs. When booking was forced to take two rooms as they said no room was large enough for two adults and two children (ages 3 & 7). On arrival one of the connecting rooms had extra bed and was ample...

Firstly, let me say, this is a lovely hotel, it's very "Christie" (you'll know what I mean if you are an Agatha fan), it's wonderfully located with lovely views, and the decor is quite lovely! However, I can't say the same for the afternoon tea we had here. We were in Seville and decided to visit Gibraltar for the day,...

Dear Ceritas, Many thanks for your sharing your review with us. Your constructive feedback is appreciated. Your comments regarding the afternoon tea on January 1st have been addressed with all staff and managers present. The service approach you mention is totally uncharacteristic and may only be explained by an issue of miscommunication. The standard of the tea itself is of...
