Hotel is well situated, ideal for a short walk to the museums and park. The breakfast staff were very welcoming and attentive. Nice breakfast buffet with good choices of hot and cold food. The reception staff were so helpul and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.
This hotel was simply fabulous! After a long day of travel and little sleep, what a relief it was to see welcoming and helpful faces the minute I arrived. Check-in was simple. I had a king deluxe room reserved, and the hotel was sold out so no upgrades were available for diamond members, but the room I received was great. It was small, as European rooms are, but it had a small fridge, an espresso maker, desk, small couch, and, best of all, a walk in closet!! I was able to get things out of the way during my stay. The bathroom was great. Two sinks, extra large towels, hair dryer and straightener, and a fabulous walk in shower with wand and overhead rainfall shower. There was also a tiny patio that could be accessed through the bathroom window, but it was way to hot to go out there. The air conditioning worked great. Plenty of outlets and USB ports as well. The restaurant downstairs was not open when I arrived, so I ordered meats and cheeses from room service. It was a ton of food, so I saved half and snacked throughout my stay. And it was delicious. I did eat in the restaurant another night, but I’m not much of a fish eater, so it wasn’t to my taste, but it was busy every night. Breakfast was a good mix of meats, cheeses, fruit, yogurt, pastries, Spanish and European offerings, as well as cava, juice, coffee, tea, and espresso. I would absolutely stay here again! Great location, great staff, great place to be!…
While the location is good our experience of the hotel was disappointing mainly due to the room we were allocated. Narrow (just 2 feet each side of the bed) with no sunlight and a view of a brick wall. We were told the hotel was full so they couldn't swap but there very few guests for breakfast. Not much in the way of decoration in the rooms or corridors. Overall my first and last stay at any Hilton Hotel. I was expecting a higher standard at this price. There has got to be better value elsewhere and I will be seeking that out in future.
Stayed for four nights. The location is perfect many bars and restaurants nearby and easy walking distance to most tourist attractions. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff is also Very nice and friendly. Great breakfast with many options as well.
Wanted to visit the Prado and Googled hotels in the area. By a lucky chance I chose the Double Tree. Great find. Smart comfortable hotel and a 5 minute walk to the Prado and of course to all the other attractions in this part of Old Madrid. Competitive pricing for a quality hotel in this great location.
Nice Property, good location, Excellent Service and GREAT Staff. It was a short stay for a couple of nights at this really nice property. The check in was a breeze. Rocio at the front desk was really friendly and welcoming. She patiently explained all aspects of the hotel, gave us the famous Double Tree cookies and we were shown to our room. The hotel is in one of Madrid’s famous historical areas, close to Prado Museum and various Madrid attractions. Many restaurants, banks and supermarkets are in walking distance. Also, the hotel is a 15 minutes walk from Gran Via. The room is well appointed and newly renovated, although small, but it was ok for a short stay. If this hotel had bigger rooms, it would definitely be my choice for all my stays in Madrid. The room was immaculately clean with all the amenities needed. Bed was comfortable and all electrical items were in perfect working condition. The shower/tub combination in the bathroom was really good and had very strong water pressure. Although it was winter, the climate control was functioning very well, with proper air flow. I can tell that the AC as well would be very good in summer. Housekeeping was in the room right after we requested them. They were excellent and left the room spotless. Room service was excellent as well and really quick. Breakfast at the restaurant was very good, with a lot of tasty Spanish traditional varieties and intercontinental as well. The waiters at the restaurant were particularly helpful and courteous. The front desk staff we dealt with were all extremely helpful and friendly. I would like to thank them all for making our stay a good one. Particularly, Rocio, Millán, luis and Mr. Miguel Sardinha, the front office manager for his wonderful reception and for accommodating our requests.…
We arrived the hotel very early, before check in time. Ramiro was able to find us a room and check us in. Getting to the room after a long flight was fantastic. Ramiro was friendly, efficient and went out of his way to assist us. This was the norm throughout our stay. Everyone was friendly, asked what they could do to assist and genuinely were concerned that our needs were met. The room was very clean and attended to daily. We were in an interior room which was very quiet. Continental breakfast was great. Large variety of breakfast foods to select. I cant say enough positive things about this hotel and the staff. This is the best Doubletree worldwide that we have ever stayed at.
This hotel is in a nice location in Madrid. Only a few minutes walks to Prado museum. And can get to the place in just 20 minutes on feet. The hotel is new, and I had been upgraded to their roof garden room during my stay for Hilton diamond membership. The breakfast is pretty good, serving a wide range of local foods. This is a perfect hotel for tourists.
This is a very good Hilton brand hotel. The staff is friendly, helpful, and attentive. The restaurant staff during breakfast is the absolute best. One of the best teams we’ve had thought Europe and UK in the last 8 months. The breakfast is very nice with a great variety of cold and hot dishes. The room was clean, quiet, comfortable, modern, and had all the amenities one could need, but a bit small. Too much furniture for the size. The bathroom was nice and big with a nice shower area. The bed although a bit small was very comfortable. The hotel looked very nice and well taken care of with no maintenance issues. Hilton hotels usually have issues with A/C and elevators, but none of that here, and everything worked perfectly. The location was great as one could walk to 90% of tourist attractions. This is in a very nice section of the city (Barrio de las Letras) and there are several cafes, coffee shops, and good restaurants within a 5 min walk. There is a well stocked small grocery store across the street. We will stay here again when we come to Madrid, and would highly recommend this hotel.…
Perfect location - close to some of the most beautiful museums of the city and quite strategically situated if you want to take long walks in the city's most touristy streets! I was greeted by a great team during my check in with a smile - even allowed an early check in which unfortunately has become quite rare in the after covid era. Loved the signature DoubleTree cookie and the very friendly attitude of the people working in the front desk! One of them (sorry can't remember the name) after a chat we had about how fast and efficient the city metro is, even found a metro map online, printed it out and brought it to my room to assist me in navigating the metro lines! Nice spacious room (even if it was a standard Queen room) - very clean and weel appointed, comfy bed and 3 (!!!) windows that (although didn't have much of a view), could be opened to get some fresh air in. The breakfast was tasty and had everything one could ask for - even some local Churros! I would happily recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Madrid!…
