I liked hostel staff a lot, they were super friendly and helpful (especially girl with blue hair :D ).
Room was clean and toilet too, but doors from shower in room couldn’t be closed and also in big bathroom shower was broken. Location is perfect, all main sights easy reachable- in like 15-20min maximum walk. I recommend it for anyone who is not spending a lot of time in hostel but around city.
Enjoy! 😊

We arrived late to Madrid following the flight from Barcelona, the hotel was easy to find and in an excellent location for shopping and restaurants.

Staff were always friendly and helpful, the rooms are well served and very clean with Netflix provided which is a nice option if you want a little break from the Madrid heat.

The major tourist attractions are a short distance away, you can jump on the nearby metro or like us take a leisurely walk.

There are a number of excellent eating and drinking options within minutes of the hotel. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a very reasonably priced option in a great location

We had a great stay at WooHoo!! We were there for two nights only and it was perfectly safe and comfortable. We got a private room and had our own shower with a shared toilet. It was easy to use, they let us drop bags early and it was in a great part of Madrid!! I would recommend for a short stay :)

I highly DO NOT recommend the collaboration and the booking in this hostal. Due to the COVID19, it is not possible to change the date of the booking or to get the refund of the payment of this hostel (booking was made before the COVID19 started). It is impossible to contact them because they don't answer neither mail nor calls. The most important for them is to PAY IN ADVANCE and then - you won't see the money back and you can do nothing :)
It is highly improfessional, I will give a negative feedback whereever I can to warn the tourists.
Unfriendly place without good approach to the customers!!!!

We originally booked this accommodation for June 2020 for 3 nights; due to the COVID pandemic our flights were cancelled and we had to cancel our trip. Although the booking was nonrefundable, Woohoo Suites Madrid initially offered us a voucher to use at a later date. After this they did not response to our multiple emails and phone calls.

We required confirmation for our travel insurance claim that Woohoo Suites Madrid did not provide us with a refund and that we did not use the accommodation on the dates we had originally booked. Woohoo Suites Madrid ignored all communication with us.

Communication and customer service were nonexistence, Woohoo Suites Madrid grabbed over €200 of our money and did not help us in any way. Really bad experience - AVOID!!

At first we could not find Woohoo suites, it was a little hidden. We called the number on the booking confirmation and they explained us. We were received excelled by Jason. He was very guest friendly. The room had everything that you need. The location was perfect, in the middle of the centre in a side street of the Gran Via. We extended our stay to see more about Madrid and the neighbourhood. We were travelling with oir teenage daughter and had our own bathroom.
We would highly recommend this hostal.
Extra thanks and regards to Jason who did his absolute best to make us feel welcome.

Set back 100m from the Gran Via, Madrid's cultural and shopping artery, this guesthouse couldn't be closer to the centre of the action. A pair of sturdy legs will take you from here to everywhere you want to go in central Madrid and back again. For the less energetic, it's two minutes from the Callao metro station.

The excellent location comes at a price, of course. The district can be noisy, and working girls ply their trade around the entrance. The hotel's on the third floor - though there is a working lift.

My room had an ensuite shower/bath/wash basin, but toilets were shared. The decor is dated but the bed was comfortable and the room and shared areas were clean.

If you're looking to impress a partner, spend a long time in your room, or like to be surounded by pretty things, go elsewhere, but if you are looking for budget accommodation and a safe place to base yourself in the heart of the city for a short trip, the Concepion Arenal could be for you.

More a guesthouse vs hostal. Rooms and bathroom are a bit tired and funny smelling but overall clean. We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night and the windows were literally rattling from noise from the busy nearby main street. Lots of working girls downstairs at the entrance but hostal itself is quite safe with fingerprint! entry. Don't bother asking for any help or information from the "host". Location is what saves this place!!

AVOID AT ALL COST! Omg how is this hostel even worth a 4 (as of this review)? I’m here for a night and this hostel has been a huge disappointment. 1) The dorm shower was disgusting to bathe in. I saw termites because they used wood for the floor, and black mound in the ceiling. Floor tile was yellowish and doesn’t look like anyone has cleaned it in a while. 2) There is no atmosphere at all, FYI. I’m not talking party people, the layout of the hostel isn’t conducive for relaxing outside of your bed (the kitchen and the tables there are just not productive for a hostel, guys). 3) WiFi was sporadic. 4) My bed plug didn’t work. Receptionist’s solution was to use my bunk mate’s power outlet or charge in the kitchen. Erm, no and no? Hopefully it gets fixed after I leave. Now instead of staying here, I highly recommend Grand Via Open Hostel. My god, it is a night and day difference yet both charge the same price. One, GV Open Hostel has curtains for each dorm bed. They have several bathrooms that are clean and modern looking. Their receptionist was a joy to talk to. WiFi was amazing. So skip this place and head down a few streets for a wayyy better option.
