My husband is a titanium member so we stay at a lot of Marriotts!
Location, location, location is the old real estate adage & this applies to this hotel. It’s in a perfect location for tourists. A 15–20-minute walk in either direction takes you to the Prado or the Palacio Real (Royal Palace). We loved this location & you will also.
Its on a busy street with lots of shopping & restaurants.
NOTE Uber cannot legally access the Gran Via so be sure & take a taxi!
Pros:
Excellent front desk staff & bottle of water upon check-in.
We were upgraded to a suite with an inside courtyard view which we preferred since there was no noise.
The suite was beautifully appointed. Living area with couches & tables & chairs & separate bedroom & bathroom. It overlooked an inner courtyard & that was what we wanted as it was very quiet.
We stayed several nights.
The hotel entrance was separated from the casino which we liked.
Free glass of wine at the bar for titanium members.
Lots of places to eat nearby & we liked Vinitus tapas bar close to the hotel that they recommended.
Cons No lobby seating area & nowhere to sit beside restaurant, bar or your room as there is no lobby.
The breakfast buffet was either 30 or 35 euros & very disappointing - not worth it but we got it for free as a titanium. The buffet was very small & they quickly ran out of croissants & never replaced them even though we were there before 8am one morning. Service was below Marriott standards. Buffet did not have a large selection of food. Below average breakfast buffet & service for a high-end hotel.
Hotel does not have the WOW factor, like so many other European Marriott Hotels we have stayed at. See my review of the Barcelona Cotton House.
Only a 4-star hotel because breakfast was not up to par & there was no lobby to sit in.
Also, no glass of cava is offered upon check-in like the Cotton House in Barcelona.
Conclusion - although we liked the location, I would try another Marriott on our next visit.

We stayed 9 days over Christmas and had a wonderful experience. We booked a junior suite with a view. While I would say there really wasn’t much of a view, we still loved the room. It was very spacious and well appointed with a sitting area, dining table, walk-in closet,and large tub and shower room. The decor was very tasteful!
The location was perfect for walking to all the sites in Madrid, just a couple of blocks from Puerta del Sol along the Gran Villa.
The staff were all really friendly as well. On our way back to the airport, that offered a car service that would cost the same as taking a taxi. I would definitely book this place again.

We greatly enjoyed our 6 night stay at this centrally and conveniently located Autograph hotel. We appreciated the recognition of ambassador status with an upgrade to a junior suite for our award redemption stay. Originally, had booked the Westin Palace hotel but switched, and we were glad we did so. A very Stylish, modern and spotless hotel with excellent and friendly service throughput. A special shoutout to Karen who provided top notch service at breakfast every day! By the way, while the breakfast buffet isn’t the biggest you will find, it was very good and combined with menu items was more than sufficient over 5 breakfasts….loved the chocolate pancakes! As some reviews have noted, there can be some street noise on the weekends, but the great location and hotel highlights more than make up for it. Highly recommend staying here!

I’d never recommend anyone to ever stay at this hotel: Honeymoon disaster.
If you don’t want to sleep for 4 days, this is home. Almost the entirety of the hotel is facing a sidestreet which host bar patrons screaming until 4 in the morning, when the leave they have a huge truck cleaning the streets with employees yelling to each other & cars waiting behind them honking because they cannot pass. It was brutal. Our junior suite was dirty with non-removable stains on carpet, shower floor, ect. When brought to staff’s attention, they were unhelpful/unwilling to accommodate a room change/refund.

We stayed at the Gran Círculo for 3 nights over the holidays. It is the perfect place to stay if you want to be in the middle of it all for Christmas and New Year's. But it's a great location in general, especially if you're interested in being in Chueca.
We stayed in a Junior Suite, which is quite large and modern. We really loved the styling throughout the hotel. The whirlpool tub and giant shower is a nice luxurious touch to the room, as is the big walk in closet.
The service was extremely friendly and helpful. We loved the nice touches of welcome drinks and cookies as elite Bonvoy members. They also provided guests with grapes and champagne in their rooms for the traditional Spanish New Year's ritual. This was very generous, and it was fun that they made the effort to explain just how to eat the grapes in order to guarantee a happy New Year!
We loved our stay there so much, we're already booked to come back this summer.

An unusual hotel in a great location with an adjoining casino. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we were upgraded to one of their large circular suites which included a good size bathroom with walk-in shower plus a jacuzzi bath. Given the location, our room on the 3rd floor was surprisingly quiet.
The integration with the casino is rather unusual and you can access it directly from the 2nd floor. On the 3rd floor, there was a small basic gym.
Breakfast consisted of a small buffet and eggs/pancakes cooked to order although they didn't do poached eggs.
Not sure that we would stay here again as the place lacks ambience. But the location is difficult to beat with the Metro just on your doorstep.

We had a great experience here from the moment we checked in, until our check out. The front staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room had a small terrace which looked out over the Madrid skyline. The bed was good, pillows excellent (some of the best I have found traveling) and the shower was great. The location is very central and it is easy to walk to see the highlights of Madrid. Our only complaint was the breakfast. The breakfast was not worth the 30 Euros per person. My eggs were too salty. The staff in the restaurant were not attentive and we had to find them to sign for the bill. We ended up going out to other spots for breakfast.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. My fiancé was on business and I flew out so we could joy Madrid together. PROS: * Front desk ladies were so helpful & kind. * Excellent King Suite w/ jacuzzi tub & rain shower. Super comfortable room with a Krupps espresso maker in the room. We used it everyday & loved it! ❤️ *Housekeeping deserves an award. They were absolutely amazing & did a fantastic, quick job. BRAVO 👏🏻 * Second floor bar service was professional & reasonable (5 euros for double wine). We were able to ice from this bar. * Location of this hotel is in the middle of the action which is great. It’s a lot like New York City or anything other very large city. You will hear sirens. It didn’t bother us on the 4th floor in the back. * Air conditioning kicks!!! We were so happy the air conditioning was so good. * Breakfast was ok. Coffee was delicious. If we did it again I would have told my fiancé to take the points instead. He’s a Marriott Titanium Elite Lifetime Member. CONS: Only 1 negative. The man at the front desk w/ the headband does not like guests and made it very clear. It’s confusing bc his job is a hospitality position. He would not answer any questions directly & made excuses not to do anything (ie… asking for housekeeping to come in … he said they will come when they come…call for more coffee cartridges for our room…he just wouldn’t do it, mail a package, etc.). He blamed Covid for things that had nothing to do with covid. Bc we were there 14 days, we would wait for his shift to end & we would ask the next staff person & they would help us. I believe there are other reviews about this employee. Those people are definitely telling the truth. He’s contemptuous at a minimum. All in all, it was an outstanding stay and the staff was great. Highly recommend!!!

I have stayed total 6 Marriott hotels in Madrid, and I can safely say that Circulo Gran Via is above others. While the room are in the small size compare to Westin, or other Autograph Collection it made up by the modern design, cleanliness, and location. Breakfast is also outstanding as they have a-lar-carte and buffet station so you will have plenty of choices! Staffs are very friendly, and proactive especially the porter I would recommend anyone to stay here when visiting Madrid!

After my stay at this hotel a year ago, I wrote a review reporting that the breakfast had much to improve due to the few options offered. And there was also the problem of poor service from the breakfast staff. For that, I gave them four stars.
In his response a year ago, the front desk manager said they were working to improve the negative points of my review.
I returned to the hotel last week and noticed that the administration effectively acted and the breakfast service was now excellent.
There is a new buffet with a good variety of options, such as hot bread, Spanish cold cuts, cheese, a variety of fruits, juices and so on, in addition to the hot menu.
But the most significant difference is in the service. The current staff is genuinely attentive, always paying attention to our needs and remembering our preferences from previous days.
Caren, Choy, and Irene served us very well, and we thank them for their excellent service during our five days stay.
As for the other aspects of the hotel, what we reviewed last year, like the comfortable rooms, location, and warm welcome to Bonvoy Elite Members, remains the same.

They have the option to whatsapp anyone on Staff. u can get the info either through the Marriot app. (if ur a Member) or when you check in there's a scannable barcode which takes u to their internal site.
There are more places to choose from in the Madrid area.
