Very nice hotel in an excellent location. Rooms are clean, well equipped (many gadgets and luxury bathroom amenities) and spacious. Service was excellent throughout. Try the 12 floor bar. Very fancy and has a fantastic view of Plaza España. Plaza España is a must in December with its own Christmas market and ice skating ring. Bedroom doors could do with a door closer as they could be loud. Highly recommended and will definitely return
Centrally located, just a couple of minutes away from the Metro, this hotel was immaculate. If you use the Metro, buy a card and then you add journeys to this. The staff were all extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area, but a special mention to Larbri, who recommended a number of restaurants to us and made us feel most welcome, from the moment we checked-in. We chose a room in the top tier, so we could enjoy the incredible view overlooking the square. Despite being in the heart of the city, our room was so quiet, because of the sound proofing. We recommend a visit to the roof top bar, owned by the hotel, for more wonderful views of the palace and the old city. Breakfast was delicious, with numerous cold buffet choices, with the chance to order individually prepared dishes, including savoury and sweet pancakes, omelettes and eggs Benedict. This is a fantastic hotel and we thoroughly recommend it. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay so special.…
Great room, 17th floor. Wonderful stuff, great breakfast , the location is amazing, nice view, quiet neighborhood, near everything you need, the room modern, very clean, twice a day they cleaned the room, free coffee and water, we will visit this hotel again
Very cool hotel situated ideally at the Plaza de Espana. Nice rooms, very cool roof top pool and bar. Excellent breakfast and lunch. You can walk to the city centre and there is a nice park for early morning jogging
At the time of stay we were on an emergency trip home to Australia following a sudden family death. Booked a triple room as we were taking our daughter home a it was her husband who died. Without knowing our details, we were upgraded to a Junior Suite on 16th floor with fantastic views. Reception staff very good with new or trainee doing check in under oversight. Also did our checkout. Room was fantastic with king bed and second, separate single. Bathroom great with bath and separate large shower. Could not get dis to work in bath but that was minor. Markets across road in square. Eating options close by. Very close to Palace. While it was expensive in our terms, it was obdd we of the cheaper hotels at that time and we really enjoyed our stay. If price is not a problem this is a beautiful stay…
From the minute we walked in the door, we were made to feel welcome. It's not just that the hotel does all the right things, from hailing a cab to helping with reservations, it's that they do those things with such warmth and sincerity. The hotel was built recently and it is beautiful. We love modern art and architecture, so this hotel was especially fun for us. There was lovely art in public spaces and the room designs are elegant. Our "Superior" level room felt spacious, and we enjoyed the view of the park across the street. The rooms are very quiet and had excellent black-out curtains for sleeping, as well as a screen that could be lowered during the afternoon sun. The staff provided a feather free environment and a nonslip shower mat when I requested. (A slippery shower is literally the only thing I can think of to complain about, and they solved it.) There is a Madrid Metro station just a block from the door, making it easy to get around the city. Although we had good food in the hotel restaurant, we also found several good restaurants nearby. This hotel was as close to perfect as we can imagine.…
The location is ok. A bit busy. The lobby is nice. Rooms are descent and super well equipped. That’s said there is a huge problem with the AC. The hotel locks the AC on 19 degrees Celsius and turns it off for 2 hours at night. Windows don’t open. This makes the room unbearable. Complained but was never addressed.
We only stayed one night - pity. Excellent hotel. Wonderful staff who were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Hotel was modern and clean. We only had breakfast there but it was superb - one of the best I’ve had. They certainly make you feel that your visit was worth the cost of the room! The only minus was that we couldn’t regulate the temp control properly (probably user error!). We will def visit again but for much longer next time.
Very nice hotel in a great central location, hotel is modern and overall a very nice stay. We stayed in a room for 3 people but found it slightly small. Room service was very good with the low point during of our stay was the Ginko sky restaurant. Not at all what we expected but we have rated Ginko separately. Staff were pleasant and very helpful.
Only stayed one night at VP Plaza Espana Design, however it was excellent. My flight arrived at 7am and I arrived at the hotel around 8:30am and the staff was amazing and friendly. I was able to check-in early because they had a room available, however if they hadn't, I still would have been able to leave my bags and go get some breakfast and walk around. Room was great and comfortable, all amenities you would want. The location I don't think could get any better, it's right across the street from Plaza Espana, the metro is right on the corner and Gran Via street is probably 500m. Would definitely stay again and I recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Madrid
