The Radisson Blu is ideally located for anyone wanting to enjoy Madrid's old quarter, Del Prado Museum and El Retiro park. It's a five minute walk from Atocha train station, and around 10 minutes to Plaza Santa Anna, 5 mins to El Retiro. There's a very pleasant outdoor seating area which when we went wasn't open for breakfast, but otherwise...

We stayed here last week for 4 nights, using Club Carlson points. I got upgraded to a business room which basically gets you dressing gowns and a coffee maker. It didn’t have a desk however, so not really a business room in that dsense. Rooms are newly refurbished and very clean, although slightly small if you’re not used to Madrid...

A great room with a view to a small square. I took a taxi to the hotel from the airport. It was easier than metro with my bags. Very close the Prado museum. Close to Atocha Station. Location in all is very good from the hotel. A lot of places to eat near by. If there is something to be...

We were pleasantly surprised to be in an area that was within walking distance to the Prado, Thyssen, and Reina Sophia museums. It is best to join the Radisson Blu club and we opted for the business suite which included breakfast at The Cask; continental with made to order eggs and bacon. At lunch, The Cask serves a prix fixe...

Definitely Recommend this hotel for a long weekend break in Madrid. We stayed at the hotel in March 2017 for 4 nights. Great location as we were able to walk to all the central tourist attractions, museums and shops. Prado and Park just over the road. We had a suite which we found to be roomy, clean and comfortable. Wifi...

I stayed here for a week on a business trip. I cannot complain honestly because of the room space or food. I knew what I picked: a very central location! Very!!! I didn't want to depend o any transportation and , for me it was significantly perfect! I had the breakfast included with anything I wanted. Even gluten free bread...

We wanted a relaxing weekend to break up a busy lifestyle and feel we picked extremely well in choosing the Radisson. We’ve had a couple of poor experiences with Radissons in the last few months, but this stay has renewed our confidence in the chain. Most staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Requests were generally met with a “can-do” attitude....

If you're looking for a hotel near the Prado, this is one. That is mainly all that goes for it. Awful customer service (except for one of the weekend breakfast staff), non-existing soundproofing within the building, tiny rooms, no proper gym, foul smell in the bathroom. Bad value for money. Be careful with breakfast. They charged us about €6 extra...

We stayed three nights in November 2016. We had a business room with a nice french balcony. Would recommend this hotel, this is at least 4++ hotel and excelently located to our purpose to see the main sights, visit museums and eat well in nice Madrid restaurants. Good breakfast. Easy access also to some shopping in salamanca. Definately would return...

Staying in Huertas

Neighbourhood Profile
Huertas
Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The neighbourhood is committed to celebrating its rich heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas receives a fair amount of spillover from the center — side streets around Plaza Santa Ana take on a foreign party atmosphere at night, and you always see young backpackers navigating the streets — but as you descend into the neighbourhood, everything becomes a little more cramped and slightly less refined, and takes on more of an underground feel. Live music is at the heart of Huertas: by night, its subdued bars are ideal for meeting friends, sipping cocktails, and chatting quietly while enjoying jazz or singer-songwriter performances.
