We stayed here for 4 nights and it was great. We had a superior room which was comfortable and clean with a good bathroom and a small balcony. Staff are very helpful. Best of all, is its location. Across the road from the Prado and in amongst lovely laneway streets full of restaurants, cafes, music venues and other shops. The...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

I stayed here for a week on a business trip. I cannot complain honestly because of the room space or food. I knew what I picked: a very central location! Very!!! I didn't want to depend o any transportation and , for me it was significantly perfect! I had the breakfast included with anything I wanted. Even gluten free bread...

We stayed in room 310 at the Radisson Blu in Madrid in May 2017. Location is perfect being just across the road from the Prado. Walk behind the Prado and up the hill cross the road and you are in the huge Retiro Park, which has a boating lake and a number of cafes to sit outside at. Hotel suite...

Though the location of the property is very good and it carries a good brand it suffers from various shortcomings. The Lobby is extremely small and there is no space to stand and sit for even 6 persons. The Room sizes are too small. The corridors are like a maze of small alleys. Hotel switches off air-conditioning in the night...

Stayed one night here during a stop in Madrid, and the hotel, although much smaller than the usual Radisson hotels, is very typical of what you can expect. Check in was ok, but as a Gold Member I was a bit annoyed with the pushing of a bigger room, especially when I'm an entitled to an upgrade anyway. Apparently he...

We recently stayed at this hotel. It's a perfect location to explore e major art museums in Madrid and in a nice area for evening entertainment too. We arrived late at night and while the guy behind the front desk was trying to sort out our booking, another one who seemed to be in charge appeared and completed our check...

Dear Dieter K, Thandk you very much for your overall positive feedback. Thank you also for your constructive comments. Our court yard rooms are definitively the quietest rooms which we have, assuring a soundless sleep, however also the ones with less light than the rooms on a higher floor. We have plans to modify the windows in order to increase...

Great hotel close to everything. Staff wonderful. Breakfast great. Pool/spa on lower level very nice and a great way to end the day before bed! My only drAwback is the colour scheme. Everything seems really dark as hallways etc in very dark colours. Overall, great hotel.

Spent three nights there - looked at a standard room but no view and claustrophobic. We upgraded to a business class room - better location and with a small balcony looking over the square. We expected it to be noisy but the large balcony doors stifled all the noise from outside and the room was very quiet at night. The...

The Radisson Blu is ideally located for anyone wanting to enjoy Madrid's old quarter, Del Prado Museum and El Retiro park. It's a five minute walk from Atocha train station, and around 10 minutes to Plaza Santa Anna, 5 mins to El Retiro. Staying in Huertas

Neighbourhood Profile
Huertas
Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The neighbourhood is committed to celebrating its rich heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas receives a fair amount of spillover from the center — side streets around Plaza Santa Ana take on a foreign party atmosphere at night, and you always see young backpackers navigating the streets — but as you descend into the neighbourhood, everything becomes a little more cramped and slightly less refined, and takes on more of an underground feel. Live music is at the heart of Huertas: by night, its subdued bars are ideal for meeting friends, sipping cocktails, and chatting quietly while enjoying jazz or singer-songwriter performances.
