My partner and I stayed here for four nights and loved it! There were so many positives;
Location- excellent! Walking distance to all of Madrid's neighbourhoods, in a lively area with lots of lovely bars and restaurants and right beside metro stop 'Alonso Martinez' from...More
I spent 3 nights in this hotel, which is located in a great area of the city, walk distance to all the main attractions of the city but still a less touristic area. Room was a double use single, quite clean and new. Street view,...More
I love this location-- you are steps away from tons of fun in Chueca and Malasaña plus right by a metro station. The receptionist was too cool for her own good and some of the design elements are just that-- design carried out without function...More
First time staying at a Petit Palace. It's no frills but was a great experience. The hotel was clean, the staff really on their game and super friendly. This location is also particularly great - there is a specialty chocolate shop around the corner.
The Hotel offers a very good breakfast, nice rooms and is worth the price. Good connection with public transport. Going out in the hip Chueca neighborhood is close by. Also good shopping possibilities all within walking distance.
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses
here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.

For sure the best way to get to/from the airport is Metro. Just double check if you are travelling this summer because from next July several metro lines will be closed for works. Otherwise a taxi will be 30€/way so if you have so much baggage is the most comfortable choice!
