Stayed here for my sisters 30th and it was lovely, great location, wonderful roof top pool. Staff were so friendly, roof top bar also a huge highlight. Breakfast was lovely as well plenty of choice. Would definitely recommend staying here.
My husband and I stayed for 1 week. We would definitely choose this hotel when returning to Madrid. The staff is very helpful. We purchased the Deluxe Suite with a Terrace. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND spending the extra money for one of these rooms. The room is large and has a large terrace with beautiful views of the Madrid city. The entire hotel is clean and modern. The free breakfast has excellent choices and reminded us of what could be offered in an all-inclusive Riu property. We purposely choose Riu because we've stayed at them before in Cancun. This hotel lives up to the Riu name and quality. It's a great location to walk to any of the popular tourist sites as well. The only time we used an Uber or taxi was to get to/from the airport. There was a mini fridge in our room as well as a coffee maker. They provided bottles of water as well inside the room. There is also a safe to use and an iron/ironing board in each room. Free wifi was an added plus and was very fast. Overall, an excellent hotel and experience.…
I can't say enough about the fantastic location of this property as well as the care and attention shown by every single hotel staff member we encountered! From the moment you enter the door staff are wonderful, Luis and Kenny did a spectacular job in assisting us. The property is beautiful, centrally located and the rooms are very clean and efficient.
From the staff to the location to the amenities, everything was outstanding. I will must definitely book this hotel again on my next trip. I booked a room with a terrace and the view was amazing. The food and drinkings on the rooftop were also superb
Location, scenery, room...great...but as with some 5-star hotels, some arrogant staff. I did email them after my stay...no reply. I was challenged brining in my partner (room was booked for 2 under my name) and at breakfast I was told to pay for my partners breakfast (not allowed to put it on the room) ...and had to reclaim off reception. These incidents took place in front of my partner and were very public...embarrassing
Beautiful hotel and rooms. Great breakfast and reception staff. Only downside I found was the amount of doorman/acuity who were often very rude and did not provide a warm reception. They often looked you up and down.
We liked the hotel the staff were were friendly, we felt very secured. it was clean well lighted with decoration making it very lively and welcoming. Elevators were equipped with technology so the non-occupant would get access.
Very good hotel, wonderful breakfast Close to everywhere, metro station under the hotel. A large and comfortable bed, a spectacular view from the room. A beautiful bar on the roof of the hotel. I highly recommend
Hotel is fantastic, rooms very clean and spacious, great choice of breakfast Great location, short walk to tour bus stop. Restaurants close by. The sky bar was amazing. I would highly recommend Riu Plaza.
Supposedly a 4 start hotel but will knock it down to 3 as it does not even provide room slippers and the carpet was a very hard rough surface! We were given room 2122. Which is really small and odd shaped. Beds in a small nook with a writing table in another small nook. So we had to lay out our large bags in the writing area nook, which meant partially blocking the entry door! Bathroom ironically was more spacious and modern than most hotels. We stayed a 2nd night in 706 which is a regular sized room and overlooks the square in front. So make sure you dont get a room on the 21st floor! Tea and coffee and a pot available in the room. Breakfast buffet spread was outstanding. Large choice and a very spacious restaurant. It's location on Grand Via is excellent. Walking distance to the palace. Also get a nice view from the top floor near the swimming pool.…
