This is a new hotel - opened in 2019. Rooms are nice with modern furniture, desk and large TV. Safe, iron and ironing board were provided. Staff was very nice, especially lady at breakfast, which was quite good. Most of all the location is perfect, right in the center of Madrid with minutes walk to Plaza Major and Royal Palace. I’ll definitely stay here again when back in Madrid.
Nicest hotel. The best location walking distance to everything. Super clean. Staff exceptional, always greeted with a smile and always helpful with great recommendations. Breakfast too is very good. Comfortable bed, great shower, nicely sized rooms. Highly recommend!
actully i gave the same because the hotel location i advise not to get car as no car parking and in front of the hotel directly is the buses and metro in 15 second walk its near the city centre 1 or 2 min walk i just met an bad experience with the connected room, and i was upset but i thought about the cleaning service and the room service staff who really was meeting us with big smile and great welcome words i forgot about the connected room i recommends the hotel specially for couples
Before our trip to Madrid, I looked at various options for hotels, and their locations. After working through indie hotels, then my hotels where I am a member, I finally settled on Aloft, a part of the Marriott chain. It was the perfect location. It is within walking distance of the Royal Place, Plaza del Sol (under reconstruction, unfortunately) Almudena Church, Gran Via, Plaza Mayor and many, many stores for shopping. It is also near two metro stations so transport to the Prado Museum, Thyssen Museum and other major sites in the city was also problem free. Not to mention the many nearby cafes and restaurants as well as grocery stores. The room was very comfortable and serviced every day. Our window looked out on the Opera and the Royal Palace, so it was a spectacular view on waking up. The room was serviced every day. There is a TV, of course, fridge, kettle and a safe. What more can you ask for? In addition, the front desk staff was very helpful at all times. For our needs, this was the perfect hotel in Madrid.…
We came to this Aloft for the first time, everything is great, and the service is very good. In particular Anka (sorry for any misspelling). She works at the breakfast on the 3rd floor. She is extremely hardworking, motivated, and dedicated to her job, while having a smile on her face, she manages the whole breakfast service shift on her own which is extremely impressive. Always polite, respectful, and more than anything smiling! It was a pleasure to stay here, thank you to Anka and the rest of the Aloft team!
Great location next to several bus and subway stations, as well as near the presidential palace. The room is a reasonably good size and the water containers are free and appreciated. My only major disappointment was the breakfast. We were not made aware of the cost and unfortunately assumed it was included, when in fact is cost more than 10 Euros per day. This was rather surprising since it was fairly basic with some cheese, pastries, meats and eggs. Some days we only eat a croissant or had coffee. The staff needs to make this clearer.
Thinking of traveling to Madrid again soon and for sure will stay only at Aloft Madrid, nice hotel , brilliant location and more important the Friendly service, I stay mostly at Marriott top brands however I didn’t miss the luxury touch at this hotel because of the friendly staff and good features. Thanks for the last stay and hope to see you soon
We had the most wonderful 3 nights in Madrid. The Aloft hotel was perfect, location, comfort and service, all excellent. Anca who works at the breakfast is fantastic, so efficient, hospitable and friendly. Always smiling and helpful. A Five Star experience. Well done!
Aloft Madrid Gran Via was my first time staying with Aloft from Marriott, and overall the experience was awesome. We stayed here for 6 nights. It was not on the main commercial street Gran Via, so it wouldn't be too noisy or crowded, while it was still within walking distance to many places e.g. shopping malls, restaurants, coffee stores and bars. The subway station Callao is just one minute away. I didn't give it 5 stars because of some issues with the bathroom: the water leaked from between the shower room doors, plus there was not much storage space for misc items. The elevators were pretty small though. The staff were super friendly and helpful.
Fantastic location right in the heart of Madrid. Walking distance to anything a tourist wants. And for shoppers, its heaven. The staff were incredible. Very friendly, very attentive, and always have a good attitude. The breakfast is simple, but does the job. Rooms are neat and modern. And the view was phenomenal. Special thanks to Diana and Carmen who made the experience more positive. Highly recommended.
