The hotel is located on a busy street but the soundproofing is really good so you can actually sleep at night. The rooms are spacious enough and generally clean, though there was some dust in the corners. WiFi is good and even enough for video streaming. Breakfast was really good (Serrano, Chorizo, Manchego cheese, etc.) but unfortunately (for me at...

Clean room, clean room but bad tiollet service. Hair dryer problem. The street alberto aguillero that hotel located in it, is a good street for shopping and night walking. also is near the Gran via (10 min) and Del Sol With 20 min.

The room was very shabby and the decor outdated -a very, very large crack in the sink surround, missing/crudely applied sealant, missing grout to wall tiles and a tatty ceiling tile which drooped clearly after a plumbing leak -and a door frame badly rotted due to water ingress. Lobby staff were not helpful -not even a map of Madrid to...

Stayed in the Leonardo for 3 nights whilst visiting Madrid. Location is excellent if you want to be minutes away from the centre but in a less touristy area. Friendly staff on arrival, checking in was simple and our room (612) was spacious with a good bathroom and comfy bed. There was a great choice for breakfast incl. cereal, fruit,...

Located within walking distance of Madrid Central at San Bernardo Metro Stop. Busy street and room face the street can be noisy. The beds are on wheels and the floor is wood, so the beds would move and separate. Price is great for the location.

Nice and fresh hotel at walking distance from city center. The hotel staff was friendly. The only negative thing with the room was the very hard matresses and bad blanket. The breakfast is not worth 12€ since it's nothing special and it's cheep to eat breakfast at cafes near by.

Nice hotel at a reasonable price for a large city. Very quiet even though on a Main Street and good breakfast as well as very helpful staff. Rooms quite spacious although bathroom a bit small. Location quite good with some nice eateries close by. Ask hotel staff for recommendations as some of these are hidden in side streets.

- this hotel is very well located, close to San Bernardo subway station. From that point, you can access all attractions in Madrid; - there are nice places where you can have the typical Spanish breakfast (tostadas con tomate y jamón ibérico) around the hotel. In the evening, you can stop and have your "tapas" at the same places, safe...

Staying in Chamberi

Neighbourhood Profile
Chamberi
Multi-story residential buildings decorated with ornate balconies line the traditional, quiet, and pretty streets of Chamberí. Humble storefronts and neighbourhood taverns are scattered across the lower levels down every block, and here and there, there's a cluster of tables on the sidewalk. It isn't ever crowded, but people are always out, poking into the tiny bakeries, hardware stores, and tobacco shops, or ducking into a bright, unadorned cerveceria to have a coffee or beer by the bar, flip through the paper, and check the sports score. The round Plaza Olavide, where the fairly regular network of streets breaks form, is among the most green and lively spots. Restaurants line its circumference and sought-after outdoor tables fill the center of the plaza, where people relax to the sounds of kids playing and street musicians' tunes.
