- This was my first trip to Madrid. The concierge were friendly and were accommodating. The room was by far the biggest we had during our trip to Europe. The room was very clean. It was close to bus stops, metro and shopping. Limited BF.

I usually stay at this hotels on my frecuent business and leisure trips. The location is amazing, next to Castellana and Serrano, close to all services and a 15 minute walk to the Retiro park. The rooms have been renovated and are well appointed, no luxury details here, but nice equipment (I would add some extra pillows on the beds,...

Excellent location, decent breakfast and a good room. Should be 3 starts instead of 4 but its a good value for the price. Clean, nice bed, nice shower, excellent towels. Would come back. The location is quite good, on the Salamanca neighborhood. There's a small shopping mall right besides the hotel, a nice supermarket and a very good Japanese restaurant...

This was my first trip to Madrid. The concierge (regardless of who was at the front desk) were friendly and were accommodating. The room was by far the biggest we had during our trip to Europe. The room was very clean. I didn't like our view but that didn't matter. It was close to bus stops and shopping. The buffet...

I was completely satisfied with the three-night accommodation at Hotel Serrano Madrid. The double occupancy room was smaller than I expected but comfortable and adequate with a full bathroom and generous closet space. The rates, service, and staff were great, but the hotel's greatest asset is the excellent location. Located in the high-end neighborhood of Salamanca, store brands equivalent to...

This hotel must be considered if the price is afordable. It is correct, clean and good breakfast. The location is perfect where there are many shops and restaurants in the heart of Barrio de Salamanca.

Stayed there for 5 nights. The room is big, nice , quiet and clean. The staff in the reception were also very helpful. The breakfast in the morning was not bad, and I think that comparing to other hotels it has a variety of dishes. The location is in the Salamanca expensive neighborhood, but it's 5 min walk from metro...

Good location, near a subway station, 2-4 stops to the main attractions. Room was clean, but very simple. Definitely 3 star, not 4 star. But no complaints as I got it on Orbitz for the price so low, I do not want even mention here. You can not get a simple motel in the US for that price. Located in...

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighbourhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
