The hotel is nicely located , near metro station and walking distance from sight seeing ! The staff friendly . The rooms good with nothing to complain about and nothing to mention to say "oh that is excellent " . Clean ,if your shampoo is not finished they will not change it !!! The breakfast has "what you need" ....

There is not much wrong with the hotel, and price is nice, but it is a bit worn. They have a good breakfast and comfortable lobby. It is only a block and a half from a metro station (Alonso Martinez), but still it is North of the Grand Via and center of Madrid. One irritant is that they have long...

For a one night stay this hotel is fine. It's close to a subway stop and is in a decent part of town. Reception area very traditional, but friendly staff. My room was very dated, but functional. The bathroom has had a recent upgrade, which is nice, and the place is clean. The car park has only four spaces and...

Good value for money. Good location by the metro station. Lot of restaurants nearby. Nice bathroom and got room upgraded really easily. They were flexible when I informed that I will be accompanied by another guest later. Pillows could be more comfortable.

centrally located hotel. rooms are clean. Bathrooms are nice and comfortable and equipped with rain showers. Wifi is free of charge and is available in entire hotel. Hotel is nicely positioned with few minutes of walking away from subway and 30 minutes away from main square. We have used both (subway and foot :-)). Breakfast could be richer. There is...

Just back from three days at the Grand Versalles. A really nice centrally located hotel. Had a superb room which was really clean and spacious. Breakfast had a good choice although hot items could have been hotter. Staff very helpful and friendly. The hotel was a really handy walk to restaurants ,cafes and bars. Would recommend.

Great location with a metro station nearby but also on the doorstep of one of Madrd's trendiest and coolest districts, Chueca. Pleasant, clean rooms, lovely bathrooms, great breakfasts and staff very pleasant too. A great base for exploring this wonderful city.

First time with tripadvisor, the hotel was horrible. Customer service was poor. The concierge were rude and not curtious at all. They gave bad advise on where to tour and there customer service was very poor. They don't even bother looking at you or greeting you at all. I've travel to several places in the world by far this is...

The room had a very strange odour and we needed to complain about the noise disturbing our sleep from the room above. Some rooms apparently do not have carpets and if you are below someone who clomps around in heels believe me it will annoy even the best natured person on the planet. However, on bringing this to the attention...

I arrived to this hotel by taxi, The reception was not good enough for my expectations. The first bad impression i had was that i should lift my suitcases through 2 stairs inside the hotel before arriving to the elevators. Honestly dont know how there can exist an hotel with 4 stars with this entrance. The room was ok but...

Staying in Chamberi

Neighbourhood Profile
Chamberi
Multi-story residential buildings decorated with ornate balconies line the traditional, quiet, and pretty streets of Chamberí. Humble storefronts and neighbourhood taverns are scattered across the lower levels down every block, and here and there, there's a cluster of tables on the sidewalk. It isn't ever crowded, but people are always out, poking into the tiny bakeries, hardware stores, and tobacco shops, or ducking into a bright, unadorned cerveceria to have a coffee or beer by the bar, flip through the paper, and check the sports score. The round Plaza Olavide, where the fairly regular network of streets breaks form, is among the most green and lively spots. Restaurants line its circumference and sought-after outdoor tables fill the center of the plaza, where people relax to the sounds of kids playing and street musicians' tunes.
