Very nice boutique hotel with 2 bedroom suites with eating area and kitchen. Spacious enough for family of five. Centrally located on Calle del Alcala between Puerto alcala and plaza de Cibelles, close to metro and museums. Retiro park is steps away Staff is very friendly.

The location is very central and you can easily walk to most tourist sights. There are lots of restaurants nearby and also it's not too far from atocha train station if you are heading to Toledo for a trip as well. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The downsides are there are no facilities as it is really only... More

Great location and that's it ! Service is basically non existent ! The only person one can see through the all day is the receptionist. Another one in the breakfast room (not a Restaurant) that works until 10:00 or 10:30. Cleaning is outsourced and by noon they are gone ! Breakfast is worst than any three stars in Madrid. Quality... When going to Madrid 2 weeks ago, I contacted our hotel for suggestions on a driver for us. They recommended Robert Lukman, robertlukmansea.com Not only did he have 2 beautiful vehicles to drive us around in, he was extremely professional. I highly recommend his services, he showed us many beautiful places in Madrid and taught us the history. The hotel... More

Very good appart hotel location, in the center of Madrid, near Cibeles Palace and the Retiro. Breakfast is good, nice terrace with view on the Palace. Only bad thing is a very frustrating detail : I had to like their FB page to get access to free wifi, which I think is not very honest way to get FB likes...

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighbourhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
