This hotel located in a quiet residential district, half way between the Airport and the city centre, is promising when you get there. The lobby and the restaurant are well decorated, in a modern and elegant style, the staff is friendly. In the room, globally it could also be not bad, but a few details are undermining the favorable impression : no coffee/tea facility in the room, a big desk to work onto but no electric plugs close to it, no paper tissues in the bathroom, a toilet paper dispenser located.....behind the seat (!), and the most disturbing a very poor level of noise insulation on the street side due to a poor quality of windows. And garbage collection trucks are working at night in Spain ! Value for money os not bad, but the guest experience could be significantly improved by changing a few details. Good buffet breakfast and pleasant restaurant for a diner.…
Staff extremely helpful, particularly the Robert Downey Junior lookalike on the front desk. Arrived at 11-30am hoping to drop the bags off because it was a 2pm check in but he let us check in there and then, much appreciated in the 35 degree heat. 8 minutes from the metro, pool good apart from no deck chairs - are in the hotel pics - and your towels get dirty from the wet grass. Decor good, didn’t savour the food or drink. Only downside was weak air conditioning in the room. I’d stay again maybe not in August.
Trendy hotel in the leafy suburbs of Madrid. Rooms were modern and clean, with a fantastic rainfall shower and black out blinds. Staff friendly, helpful, and welcoming too. 5 mins walk from Pinar De Charmartin metro station and a 30 minute ride into the city centre for a couple of euros. About 10 minute taxi from the airport or 30 mins on the metro. All in all, a great hotel in an accessible location, providing you're happy to be a bit further out from the centre for more bang for your buck. Highly recommend.
I spent a night here and, for the price I was paying, I expected more mainly because: - Is really far from the city center - Is not near any bus stop or metro station. - Breakfast was just OK On the upper side we have the room: - Great shower - Really quiet - Everything was in place and very tidy Hope this helps you
This hotel could be so much better if issues with the room were sorted: Positives 1. Reasonable price 2. Decent food in the restaurant 3. Friendly staff 4. Size of room Negatives 1. Even though it was 4* outside, the room was boiling hot and nothing I could do with the AC would resolve it (seems a common complaint) 2. The wooden headboard above the bed is a hazard. It overhangs the sleeping area and I hit my head everytime I woke up 3. Shower is not practical. Waterfall or hand held 4. No English TV channels (not a deal breaker) 5. Not convenient for city centre (but price compensates)
I don’t do reviews while I’m still at locations, but this is an exception. Even though the hotel is a little far from the center of Madrid, it is without any question one of the best I’ve been to in the past few months. The room I was given was cozy, fresh, clean, and with nice furnishings and a comfy bed. The two nights spent were an extension of my own bedroom. The bathroom was just as fully equipped and sparkling clean, which, for me, is more important than amenities (which were scarce) and other secondary stuff. Overall, if you’re looking for the hustle and bustle of Madrid but want to rest in a quiet neighborhood afterwards, this is definitely a hotel to contemplate.
Stayed here on a 3 day work trip recently, and though I didn't pay myself, the rate felt quite dear. Not sure if this is because demand across Madrid seemed crazy the week I was there, but in any case it's not worth 300 euros a night. The room was nice enough, breakfast and dinner okay (no decent options at dinner really for veggies other than fish), and nice to have a taxi service even if the cabs took a while to come round. AC was working fine for me, though the hotel felt busy given the right lobby space.
Me and a friend stayed here for Mad Cool festival. Pros: - Close to airport and public transport links to city centre - LARGE terrace, great for drinks and views - Comfy beds - Great shower - Friendly staff and the food from the restaurant is excellent Cons: - Too far from the city centre, if you get taxis it’s costing a lot - Key card kept losing its ability to open the door - Nothing nearby in terms of nightlife or activities - Air con switching off and power going off randomly - Restaurant wasn’t open on a Sunday - No room service Saturday or Sunday
We have just returned from a coach journey to Madrid. This was to support Liverpool in the champions league final. We needed a room for a few hours to allow us to relax, shower and freshen up. The staff were fantastic and the room was very very good. We were so impressed that I am looking to book a real family trip and use this hotel.
Let’s start with the plus side. Hotel looks nice from the front, staff nice, larger rooms nice, powerful shower, nice bed mattress and WiFi is good. Now the showstopper!!! Aircon switched off in all rooms by the owners. Booked in straight from work and the room was boiling. I went down into the lobby for a few hours until it cooled down. Went back to the room and the AC was obviously not working. Reception told me to open the window as they do not turn aircon on after summer. The issue here is that the aircon should work in individual rooms. This is not clear or visible on the booking sites. Also, my window was bolted closed so I could not open it. I had to change rooms after 9pm, not ideal. Hardly slept as opening window did not make much difference. Especially, when there is an outer metal shutter that can’t be opened either. Smaller bathrooms have the toilet do close to shower that you have to sit to the side! Pictures show window open with shutter that does not open. Original room with staircase behind and bolted down window. Toilet in small room.…
