We started a tour to north of Spain starting in the capital, Madrid. We choose the Liabeny Hotel because of its central location, quality to price, convenience, & it’s service to its clients. From the time you arrive with its attention to details, UpToDate response to sanitation, great buffet breakfast, & quietness of its bedrooms it is very difficult to obtain an equal again for what you get for the price.

I’ve stayed at this hotel before and my previous review mentioned that the rooms were dated and beware of controlling temp in room. I was delighted to check into a completely refurbished room with individual room air controls.
Great location near Puerta de Sol. Great value, Will book there again when in Madrid.
One additional note, there’s a Taco place right next door that had 20+ in line at all times, even in 90+F heat. I didn’t try but seems like a lot of people are willing to.

We chose this hotel for it's central location and for what we thought was good value for money. We were not disappointed, in fact it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we stepped into the lobby we were met by friendly yet not overbearing staff. Check in was efficient ant the special requests i had asked for were delivered without any problem and with discretion. The rooms were absolutely amazing, we had two superior rooms and i can honestly say they were the nicest rooms i have ever stayed in. Immaculately clean, well stocked and the comfiest bed ever. We ate in the cafeteria restaurant on the first night as we were tired from travelling, they do a 15 Euro menu which consists of three courses, bread and a drink (wine, beer or soft drink) which was of great quality and value for money, we enjoyed it so much we ate there the following two nights of our stay too. Break fast was of an equally high standard with a huge choice of both hot and cold offerings. The one thing that came across in this hotel was the staff, the were the most friendly and helpful i have cane across, nothing was too much trouble. I will only stay here when in Madrid in the future. Well done Liabeny.

Making a reservation through their website was quick and easy. Upon Madrid's lockdown, they stated all reservations would be refunded. It has been over six weeks since receiving this notice, and we have not received our refund. It seems they are quick to take our money but not so quick to return it.

On the whole I loved this hotel and would probably make a beeline for it next time I’m in Madrid.
Fantastic location - you can walk to any attraction if you’re so inclined and if not, the metro is just a few minutes away.
Located a stone’s throw from Gran Via, it is however on quite a quiet side street and the sound insulation in the rooms is pretty great (this coming from a self confessed hyper vigilant insomniac is high praise indeed, believe me)!
The rooms are spacious and impeccably clean, the beds are extremely comfortable and the showers are large and there’s great water pressure.
There is a good choice at the buffet breakfast and on the whole I enjoyed it. However the following could be improved:
There are just 2 coffee machines for the entire hotel which make one cup at a time, VERY slowly. This results in queues forming and a rather long wait for a drink.
A better quality cheese would be appreciated. The same could be said for the toasting bread.
The staff are extremely professional and amiable and helpful. However, the helpful information isn’t offered spontaneously and I only learnt of some great perks by asking probing questions (eg: a free transfer from the airport, free late checkout and a lounge for guests waiting around after checkout)
Having said that, once the enquiries had been made, they were helpful and accommodating to a fault.

I would not recommend this hotel, my luggage was lost in transit so I had to purchase new clothing to get by until my luggage arrived and the front desk wouldn’t borrow me a pair of scissors to remove tags from newly purchased clothing, even after explaining why I needed them. I was told I needed to wait until the next day when there was house keeping. Nothing like making an already crappy situation worse. Thanks Hotel Liabeny!

I stayed for three nights and was pleased to find a good quality hotel, in a central location for a good price. Check in was swift and I was straight up to my room. This is an older property with newly renovated rooms. The ground floor maintains a traditional look and feel, and the age of the hotel is visible in the size of the two lifts and the standard of the gym. My room however was very smart and well finished. I’ll admit the room was smaller than I was expecting, possibly due to its location in the corner of the building, but it was sufficient for a solo traveller. My standard double would have felt cramped with two people in it. The air conditioning was effective and the shower had the best water pressure of pretty much any hotel bathroom I’ve used! The location cannot be beaten. Easy to access via public transport from the airport and literally steps away from the centre of Madrid. For ease, convenience and value is absolutely consider returning.

So in May I had booked 6 rooms with this hotel for the end of 2020/beginning of 2021 as part of our group was coming after New Year’s. I accidentally booked one room and forgot to get the free cancellation option.

Our flight was cancelled so we had to cancel the whole trip, it’s hard to stay in a hotel in Spain when we live in the US. We were not going to cancel until the last moment. We really wanted to go to Spain. The E.U. has banned all travel from the US unless you reside in the E.U.

AFTER, Our flight was cancelled, I cancelled our rooms too. This is when I realized I had book one of the rooms without the free cancellation option.

Expedia tried several times to get the hotel to refund my money. The hotel got to the point that they would not answer the phone and continued to say I/Expedia would need to email the request. Expedia emailed several times.

The final decision is that they would not refund ANY of the money. I even asked for a voucher that would expire in a year. NOTHING. I even explained that we would be rescheduling and if they did not refund this room costs, I would not use their hotel when we rebook.

This hotel is obviously out for whatever they can get. No concern to please their patrons nor for a return customer. Any business that is only concerned with what they can get out of you, is not a place that would care if you once they receive their payment. So do not expect to check-in and get any customer service.

These are the kind of businesses to stay away from if you want even a minimal expectation of concern. A hotel, or any business that has no interest in repeat customers is obviously a bad choice.

Fantastic hotel! Hotel lobby was still being renovated, but much of it was done, so no disturbance to our stay. The hotel is all marble and luxurious finishes. All personnel were friendly and accommodating. The concierge helped us with restaurant reservations and securing a taxi on departure.

The room we stayed in was a deluxe double with a very large king bed. The room, though small, was well laid out. There was a desk with drawers, cubbies and small fridge; one chair; bedside "tables." The room entrance had space to put your luggage plus a generous closet with hangers and shelves and the safe. The bathroom was decent sized with a roomy shower, large sink and countertop, large shelf below, and large mirror. Bathrobes and slippers were provided along with 2 free bottles of water a day, coffee (and tea upon request). Our room looked over the street and Plaza del Carmen being renovated, not a great view.

The buffet breakfast was excellent! A large selection with eggs, meats, yogurt, pastries, breads, cereal, fresh and dried fruit, fresh juices, salad and fixings, coffee and tea. Price was very reasonable for what you're getting.
We did eat in the quick cafe for breakfast once, but were underwhelmed.
There is also a small bar with a limited selection. Eh.

Location was very central, close to Sol Metro and shopping. Just down the street are a number of streets that are pedestrian only. We walked everywhere we could, and took the Metro when distance was too great. Would go back again.

Great hotel at a great location, centrally located with walking distance to Puerta del Sol and Gran Via! We went all over Madrid from here, easy to find Ubers from the hotel, great restaurants nearby. A decent breakfast was included with the stay.
We were a family of 4, the hotel room was very large by any standard, one great room with two large beds, large bathroom with double sinks, walk-in shower, clean linens, lots of closet space and a small living room with a tv. I highly recommend the hotel for families.

“Is there a flamenco. Tab Lau n near by?” I’m still trying to interpret “Tab Lau n” in your original post. That said, we just stayed here a month ago. Great location! Right in the middle of everything. So, if you’re looking for a specific bar/club/restaurant, chances are good you’ll find it!
