location wise the hotel is great. we had a double bed room, where the beds were single ones pushed together. this would not have been an issue, but the beds kept moving which made it really annoying to sleep on them. otherwise the hotel is...More
This hotel is located very well. Just outside the old city, but very easy to get there. A metro station with 3 lines at walking distance (100 m), this is ideal to discover the city. Close by are some nice restaurants and bars... ...we were...More
It is an ok hotel. Rooms are simple, in good state, clean. The biggest issue i had was that it was warm in Madrid and the hotel didn't have the airco system running. They explained that they either have heating or airco.

I love the position of this hotel. Not in the middle of the chaotic Madrid center and enough close to the Parque de El Retiro. In 15-20 min you can reach both the Gran Via and the Park.

Wonderful hotel with very good staff. Excellent location, near the center. The room is very nice, despite the window that overlooks the courtyard. For me, as a person on a business trip, everything is very convenient. The level of the wifi is very good. But...More

Multi-story residential buildings decorated with ornate balconies line the traditional, quiet, and pretty streets of Chamberí. Humble storefronts and neighbourhood taverns are scattered across the lower levels down every block, and here and there, there's a cluster of tables on the sidewalk. It isn't ever crowded, but people are always out, poking into the tiny bakeries, hardware stores, and tobacco shops, or
ducking into a bright, unadorned cerveceria to have a coffee or beer by the bar, flip through the paper, and check the sports score. The round Plaza Olavide, where the fairly regular network of streets breaks form, is among the most green and lively spots. Restaurants line its circumference and sought-after outdoor tables fill the center of the plaza, where people relax to the sounds of kids playing and street musicians' tunes.
