Great location for walking to museums, shopping and restaurants. Hotel staff is courteous and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Only disappointment was bathroom was well laid out but “tight”. Very clean though. We will return on our next visit to Madrid.

Great location, nice rooms ,beautiful lobby, near high end shopping, and many restaurants as well as the major art museums. If you are planning to travel to other parts of spain by train , this Hotel is not far from the Atocha train station.
We selected this hotel because it is a member of American Express’ Platinum Fine Hotel & Resorts portfolio, a designation that it does not deserve. This is not a five star hotel, based on facilities and service. As we walked into the hotel we were...More

Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighbourhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of
opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
