This hotel is very close to my office so we were booked there for a three week assignment and checked out after two terrible nites. First off- it took 45 minutes to get to the plaza mayor (downtown Madrid) and 20-25 euros for dinner. To make things worse- ordered room service which was terrible and there are NO other restaurants...

We chose the Puerta de Madrid because it offered a very attractive rate and is located a very short drive from the Madrid airport. Arriving with my family on a trans-Atlantic flight, it was important to get to a place where my children could rest very soon after landing. The hotel is a conventional high rise, right alongside the A-2...

The hotel is very nice, very good priced and clean with an excellent bathroom fulled with things that make your leaving comfortable!! It is very close to the airport but if you do not have a transport it is difficult to access the city of Madrid. The breakfast is very expensive, more expensive than the room itself!!!Last but not least,...

Good location if you need to work near the airport or on that side of Madrid, a taxi into the centre of town is 15 euros or less and there is a busstop a 3 min walk from the hotel that takes you into the city centre directly ( depending on the time of day this will take 25-45 mins)...

For a real 4 star hotel I did miss any sport or recreation facilities, thats the only reason for degrading the Service. Rooms are spacious, location is very close to airport and northern business locations. Check out at the reception took some time (long queue in the morning and only one service personel). Breakfast had a wide variety - the...

I stayed here for two nights in March 2011 on a business trip. I found the room to be very spacious and spotless clean - with trouser press, mini bar aswell. The bathroom also good size wtih nice supply of toiletrities too. Hotel is nicely located - about 15 / 20 minutes to airport, and a short taxi trip into...

Stayed in the hotel nearly a month, it was near where I was working but that is all. Not much else around it. Room service skips from 1600 to 2000, that was later than I am used to and the menu was limited. What they did have on the menu was pretty good but I would avoid the Chef's Salad....

I stayed already a few times in this hotel, as conveniently located near the place where I've got my business appointments, but it's hell if you want to go to the city center, might take you in worst case about 40 mns.. The hotel itself has correct and friendly staff, located close to the highway, excellent breakfast choice, rooms are...

This hotel is absolutely horrible. Make sure before you book that you are looking at the correct silken hotel in Madrid as the website and names are confusing to say the least, I think there are 5 silken hotels in MAdrid all with nearly the same names!! We thought that we were staying in this really nice hotel with a...

Just off' Avenida America, closely to Places like L'Oreal HQ I found Puerta Madrid. The hotel is in late 80s style - has been renovated a few times obviously - and is in good shape. rooms are in good size, but the feature I liked most was the room-service. 15mins for a Plate of Ham, a great Salat and a...
