Excellent service and reception from Emma and Javier. The rooms were large and clean, internet was strong and breakfast worthwhile even though there are a few very good breakfast spots near by. The location is perfect. Near everything. Better then Air BNB.
We had a great stay at the Artrip Hotel and I think it really bore out the reviews elsewhere on TripAdvisor, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Despite being in the city centre it wasn’t noisy and it was very good value for money. The location suited our needs very well and there was a simple and very pleasant breakfast in the morning.
Very clean room, with nice light and a small balcony. Very functional for a hotel in the heart of lavapies. Bed is comfortable and the room offers a nice little balcony . Walking distance to the metro.
This is a small hotel near the Reina Sofia museum. The location is a little removed from the center of everything closer to the Puerta del Sol. The room was a little tight, but it was very clean, the shower was great, and we enjoyed that the sink, toilet, and shower were separated so that one of us could use the shower, while the other used the sink or toilet. The staff was very friendly and offered us a welcome glass of rose and a bottle of wine when we got to our room. We did not pay for the breakfast as part of the rate, but purchased it a couple of mornings. It was OK, but not great. We enjoyed the coffee machine, and the lemon cake was excellent. We would recommend the Artrip to anyone looking for good value and for a location near the Reina Sofia and Prado museums.
Nice inexpensive hotel in ideal location. It is near a Metro and walking distance to many sights. In particular Tania was extremely helpful. She made our trip and stay in the hotel and Madrid worthwhile. She is an outstanding employee.
I stayed at the hotel from 26th September until 3rd October. This was the tenth time I have stayed here and it really is home from home. The last time I wrote a review was February 2019 but I also stayed in September 2019 and In May of this year. The gap of course between September 2019 and this year was entirely due to the pandemic. After having to close for a while because of the pandemic, the hotel has continued to maintain its exceptionally high standard of care for all its guests. Some new staff, Javier and Emma have joined the reception team and they along with Roberto, Fidel and Hugo provide a welcome and go more than the extra mile to ensure the comfort and well being of its guests. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the beds are always comfortable. I have stayed in good large hotels in countries like Australia and South Africa and the showers in all the rooms at the Artrip hotel are luxurious, better than many of those large hotels. Breakfast is always something to look forward to with excellent coffee, croissants, cereals, lovely breakfast rolls, pain au chocolat, Serrano ham, cheese and a great variety of fresh fruit. The warmth and the professionalism of the staff is the hallmark of this hotel. Brilliantly led by the manager Miguel whose sense of humour shines through in the same way as his concern for guests and his staff. He is also happy to receive constructive suggestions for improvement. However for me there is nothing to improve! I am already looking forward to my next two visits to Madrid in 2023 and the main reason is that after a day of tourism or seeing friends in the city, I know I have a lovely room to return to and know that I can relax in a place which really is home from home. Thank you, Miguel to you and all your staff.…
Lovely, lighht-filled, and comfortable room. The owners, brothers Roberto and MIguel couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. it is near to so much including subway lines and the Atocha Railway Station. We will definitely stay here next time we visit Madrid.
I had the pleasure of staying at this comfortable and central hotel. My luck! The location of the hotel is exceptional. One step away from the Lavapíes station in a neighborhood with several restaurants and bars. You can walk to the main attractions of the city or take the metro a couple of stations. The room was spacious, comfortable and quite nice. The air conditioning works without noise and cools immediately. There is a kettle in the room which I found very convenient. My only observation is that breakfast at $10 per person leaves a lot to be desired. It consists of cereals, coffee, fruit and yoghurt. Hotel Artrip at least have a hard-boiled egg and a croissant or similar! The hotel staff were great, they answered all my questions and I felt warmly welcome. Thank you!!…
We stayed at the Artrip for four nights. It is practically within sight of the Lavapies metro which puts you in easy access of the rest of Madrid - much of which is already available to you via walking. In addition, Lavapies is a great neighborhood to stay in while in Madrid - it is not as tourist-centric as some others and has real character to it. The front desk is manned 24 hours and the owner, Miguel, greeted us and almost immediately gave us the low-down on where we were in Madrid, what to do, and his own recommendations (including an excellent meal at La Canibal, around the corner). There's free coffee and water in the morning, and our room was clean (the floors are a little eccentric - no tile or hardwood in sight!) included a balcony, and was spacious enough. In addition, we went here partially on our honeymoon - though we did not tell this to Miguel upon booking, when he discovered this he brought us pastries and a bottle of Cava on the house, which was lovely. We would absolutely stay here again on another trip to Madrid.…
I went 4 days to Madrid and stayed at the “Artrip Hotel”. The location is great, a few meters from the Lavapies metro station (and typical bars/restaurants of Argumosa street), just behind the Reina Sofia museum and with Madrid points of interest within walking distance. It is an old family house refurbished into a hotel, modern with all essential commodities. Miguel Angel and his team did everything to ensure that I had a good stay and gave me lots of advice; before my arrival by email (how to get to the hotel: metro, train or taxi) and during my stay (points of interest, restaurants, bars, etc.). Also close to San Fernando market very animated during the WE ! A very good quality / price deal for a discovery stay. I was delighted and I highly recommend Artrip hotel. Miguel Angel & Esther : thanks !!…
