Wonderful hotel and exceptional staff. We really enjoyed our stay The rooms have very nice amenities and very comfortable. This hotel is small and very quiet area yet within walking distance of many Museums and restaurants. A very good location
The staff was very accommodating with great recommendations for dinner and Flamenco. We got in very early in the morning and the hotel was booked so we had to wait for a room to become available but Juan Carlos made sure to serve us some coffee as soon as he arrived and opened the breakfast buffet. We were very grateful after our long journey from Senegal. We were also allowed to store our luggage while a room opened up. The buffet is very nice, not too large but enough.
I hope I have the opportunity to stay here again.
Love this hotel!!! Thanks again to Anna and team!

This is neat hotel in a very serious use location; the ministry of the interior is on the block so you have armed guardia civil on street corners 24/7. Colon and Alonso Martinez are 3-7 minute walk from the hotel. Staff are excellent hosts, breakfast is great (the room itself is refreshing b with a green canopy of plants). Coralie checked us in very early, so thank you again for that! There are plenty of cafes\restaurants near by, plus a pharmacia or two. Rooms are standard for Europe but the baths are on the bigger size, with rain shower to boot!

We had some trouble regulating the heat and had to keep the window open at night to avoid stuffiness. Plus there was some lingering smoke or cat litter odor that took a day or two to dissipate. But to be fair we did not bring these up with front desk or I am sure they would have tended to these as well.

The Pavilions hotel is a great little hotel in Madrid. From the moment we arrived the staff was friendly and helpful.

The rooms are roomy(especially based on European standards), clean and well equipped with anything you'd need. They even had a scale in each room, which normally you wouldn't want during a vacation, but they came in handy to weigh our suitcases before returning home.

The bathrooms are spacious with great water pressure in the shower! They could maybe provide a little more shower gel each day, but that is minor.

While we didn't eat in their restaurant the breakfast buffet is quite reasonable at 12.50 Euro. However, their coffee is delicious and Gema at the restaurant was super-friendly, conversational and a great ambassador for the hotel.

The surrounding area is safe, easy to walk around with restaurants and shops. An 8 minute walk away is a small market, with great food and a restaurant called Casa Dani which specializes in Tortilla(As seen on Somebody Feed Phil!)

Whenever we go to Madrid, we'll be staying here.

The pavillions hotel is located in a small street close to Plaza Colon which makes the location quiet and central.
The hotel is nice and has excellent beds and sheets, I slept wonderfully. Breakfast is very good.
The downside: you can only open the windows a tiny bit and the rooms are very dark, in my case it was black (all of it, just the bed was white) and it is very dark even during the day and it is hard to find your clothes in the black wardrobe. Combined with the non opening windows it is very claustrophobic!
The personal was nice enough to upgrade me to a suite with a terrace because I cannot stay in rooms where windows cannot be opened. The room was nice but also pitch black, even during the day it was dark and there is no work desk...
Rooms perfume in the lobby and breakfast room is very aggressive...

Response from PavilionsMadrid, Director General at The Pavilions Madrid
Responded 27 Feb 2020
Dear dschei612987: First of all, we would like to thank you for your comment. For us is very important to know your opinion to improve our service. We are very happy to know that the bed and breakfast was nice and to your liking. On the other side, we are very sad to know that you have some difficulties during your stay, that's why we give go to an exterior room with a terrace. The windows of the room can be fully opened, but for security reasons, we have the windows in that position to avoid any misuse of the windows. They can be opened under request by the maintenance staff. I would like to give you the possibility to ask for me next time you came to Madrid, to let you change your opinion about the hotel. We hope to see you back here and on behalf of all of us at The Pavilions Madrid, thanks for choosing our hotel. Kind regards Jaime Garcia-Morato General Manager The Pavilions Madrid.

All perfect. I was the second time I came, so I almost felt at home.
The breakfast system has changed and I liked it.
Juste one point: instead of using plastic cotton swab and other toothbrush you could replace by bamboo which is more ecological?

I was in Madrid doing some family business. I chose The Pavilions because I had seen the lobby in a previous visit to the city and it looked very appealing. Hidden in a quiet (and very safe) street, it's in the perfect location.
The building is modern, clean and with very carefully chosen details (although the art hanging from the walls had been removed due to the long hiatus caused by the pandemic).
The rooms are nicely sized, the decor is really cool and it has smart details. Oh, and the AC is fantastic.
Breakfast is pretty standard but the service is amazing. Gemma made my mornings very special anticipating my needs every time.
The personnel is extremely nice and courteous. Especially the ones at night-shift.
It's the perfect place to stay when you visit Madrid for pleasure or business. Great place to come back to when you are out on the town.
The only mishap I had was at check-in. My room upgrade was not acknowledged. And despite several attempts to get it, I was told all the superior rooms had been booked. Maybe they were right, but they need to work out that bug in their system. Do not offer things if you cannot deliver!!
I am giving them an excellent rating, but please, please, do some internal evaluation and re-consider that offer on your website. It's kind of false advertising.
Jaime the manager was very helpful though.

The location was fabulous. We could walk everywhere so quickly. Loved the bed and shower - excellent water pressure! Rooms are super modern and equipped with BT speakers built into the room speakers and bathroom. Super comfortable and great for business travel. Even with the family we found it to be so convenient. Breakfast was great - fresh OJ every morning and freshly baked croissants 👍 staff and service is exceptional too!

I stayed here only one night but I like my stay very much and will be back during my next trip for sure. Location is great, very new and stylish design. It’s a small boutique hotel right next to ministry of interior so it’s very safe and quiet location but only few steps from booking business center and shopping street Serrano. The only think I didn’t like much was the restaurant food, just too “modern” and not that tasty and healthy for my liking. But some people might love it.

I work in the travelbusiness and have stayed many places and have done inspektions at even more hotels. I’ll claim I find the small details if the are missing. Fx you will be surpriced how many hotels don’t have USB plugs, which we all demand.
At Pavillion I din’t miss anything. The rooms are large and Well equiped. I liked the wifi connected laudspeakers in the cealing, I liked the ‘flowets’ in the shower and I liked the friendly staff.
Om the ‘minus’ side, we all like a nice view and a good location. Being a tourist with little knowledge about Madrid, I would preferencer to be more near the citycenter. That said, we found many interesting places close to the hotel 👍. Concerning my view it was into a wall 10 meters away.
Totally I would still rate Pavillion very high - also from a Price perspektiver we - and I would love to come back. Thank you for a pleasent stay!

This hotel is ideal for visiting Madrid. Comfortable, welcoming, very friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. All this, right in the centre of Madrid; what more could you want?
The breakfast was prepared and served by an extremely efficient and friendly cook/waiter and the reception staff were very helpful at all times; they recommended an excellent restaurant very nearby for dinner.
Thanks for a wonderful weekend!
