We stayed for two nights June 2017 and we booked the hotel due to it having a pool which we would love to have used because the temperature soared to 45 degrees C but we were told the pool would not be in use when...More

The location is great. The hotel is in a really nice area and is only a few minutes from several Metro stations.
The Metro is easy to use. You can buy a 10 journey pass or buy individual trips. There are other options available.

Multi-story residential buildings decorated with ornate balconies line the traditional, quiet, and pretty streets of Chamberí. Humble storefronts and neighbourhood taverns are scattered across the lower levels down every block, and here and there, there's a cluster of tables on the sidewalk. It isn't ever crowded, but people are always out, poking into the tiny bakeries, hardware stores, and tobacco shops, or
ducking into a bright, unadorned cerveceria to have a coffee or beer by the bar, flip through the paper, and check the sports score. The round Plaza Olavide, where the fairly regular network of streets breaks form, is among the most green and lively spots. Restaurants line its circumference and sought-after outdoor tables fill the center of the plaza, where people relax to the sounds of kids playing and street musicians' tunes.

The floors and rooms are non smoking and are really fine. The patio is also the area for breakfast in the morning, where we felt oke, although occassionally you could smell a slight sniff of smoke. In general in Madrid everybody seems to smoke, so as soon as you're outside, unfortunately, you'll see and smell smokers everywhere. We'll just tried to avoid this and really enjoyed Madrid as a fantastic city and the hotel as well. Kind regards. Have a good time! Petra
