Just finished a 3 day stay at ADR. Great value for your money. Exceptional service and a friendly smile. Rooms had a small kitchenette for a snack or meal. Overall a rating of 5 stars.

I stayed for a week in Aug 2011. This is a really nice hotel for the price. Its a little out of the main tourist area so much quieter and away from all the trappings but still handy to everything especially all the museums along la Castellana - don't be afraid to jump on the buses that run along there...

We had a room on the top floor - really enjoyed the outside terrace. Good size bathroom. The kitchenette was tiny but aqequate. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. We found the location to be perfect - very quiet (and secure!) but an easy walk to restaurants, transport etc. Would highly recommend to the leisure traveller and hope...

I stayed here for two nights, the first night I managed to get an upgrade to a top floor balcony room (noted worthwhile from previous reviews on this site) and it was definitely worth it. With the addition of the balcony the stay that night was very pleasant, I was able to sit outside for most of the evening and...

This was the first stop on our honeymoon. The hotel was recommended by friends of ours that are from Madrid. Spent 4 days here. The location is NEW, safe, quiet... super clean hotel & rooms, so warm welcoming and modern. The concierge was great, they booked us an amazing Flamenco show. Our room had an awesome balcony that has an...

Very good room, clean, spacious, with a kitchen embeded and a good shower. Fast connection free wi-fi. The location is excelent, in a quiet street, but still close to the city center and to the metro station. The only downside was the clerk that made the check in. He looked like very bored with his profession. But the rest of...

My husband and I had a very pleasant stay from September 21 till 25. It is beautiful, clean, safe and peaceful. The atmosphere of the hotel gives you a feeling of luxury and welcome. The room is large and has a very good maintained spacious bathroom, a small kitchenette with all you need to have a breakfast: even table cloth...

This is a lovely boutique hotel which is well maintained and very clean. The hotel staff are really helpful in particular reception who offer a friendly greeting. The pool area is very clean and has a lovely water feature along one side, be prepared though, the water is on the cool side as the pool is relatively shaded by surrounding...

The Amador is known as the most design appart-hotel in Madrid, and this is true. Rooms are big and decorated in style. You can find everything you would expect from a good hotel room, from bath amenities to slippers, complimentary wifi and cd:dvd player. The kitchenette is handy, but rather small (2 dishes, 2 forks, 2 knifes, 2 glasses, that's...

Staying in Chamberi

Neighbourhood Profile
Chamberi
Multi-story residential buildings decorated with ornate balconies line the traditional, quiet, and pretty streets of Chamberí. Humble storefronts and neighbourhood taverns are scattered across the lower levels down every block, and here and there, there's a cluster of tables on the sidewalk. It isn't ever crowded, but people are always out, poking into the tiny bakeries, hardware stores, and tobacco shops, or ducking into a bright, unadorned cerveceria to have a coffee or beer by the bar, flip through the paper, and check the sports score. The round Plaza Olavide, where the fairly regular network of streets breaks form, is among the most green and lively spots. Restaurants line its circumference and sought-after outdoor tables fill the center of the plaza, where people relax to the sounds of kids playing and street musicians' tunes.
