The young lady that greater us was less than friendly and not at all helpful. She actually yelled at me because she had to get up and walk to the door because the key was hard to work. The room could have been a whole...More

We had a great experience at Mucho Madrid. Even though we got a bit lost coming here from the airport and overshot our expected check in time by a lot, Ildi (who sits at the reception desk at night) was waiting for us and provided...More
First, the receptionist was extremely rude and unfriendly. My friend and I took an early flight and go into Madrid early. I was confused on our check in time and the receptionist was extremely unhelpful when we arrived. We asked her recommendations for the are...More
The rooms look exactly like the pictures, and the location is ideal! My room had a window that looked out onto busting Calle Gran Via, the equivalent of Broadway in Madrid. I still had a great night's sleep with the double windows and shades, but...More

Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as
desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.

From the airoport you have to take line 8 (pink line) until Nuevos Ministerios and in Nuevos Ministerios you have to change with line 10 (blue line) until Plaza de España. In Plaza de España you have to get off with direction Gran Via and you walk about 2 minutes until Gran Via 59, 7th floor where is our hostel located.
And Avenida de America is near to the hostel around 4 stops of metro.
Mucho Madrid staff!
