Setting the mood plays a big role in how our stay was. The check-in woman was so friendly that I immediately felt welcome, and her attitude is even what encouraged us to have drinks and snacks before leaving the hotel to explore the city. The room and bathroom were spotless. The area is definitely lively, and can be a little disruptive since we had to sleep with the window open as the air conditioning was turned off. Guests can be prepared by investing in some ear plugs or drinking heavily to sleep. There are plenty of restaurants and bars all within walking distance, and the travel is so easy with two different train stations blocks away. Overall, the stay was wonderful and would love to return for a longer stay.
Hotel very well positioned, close to all enmities. will definitely recommend this hotel. Although it is situated in the city center rooms are very quite. Staff was very helpful. Rooms were kept very clean too.
I spent 4 nights at Ibis Madrid Centro in September 2021 and had an excellent stay there. Positives: -Communication with the staff was good both before my stay and during my stay. The staff at reception was very helpful and efficient in answering my questions -The location is amazing, centre of Madrid, many bars/restaurants/shops around, very close to Bilbao station. Couldn't be better -The quality of the room was good as per normal Ibis style. I've stayed in Ibis hotels in many different countries and this one was exactly how you would expect it: basic but good, clean etc. The quality of the bed was good, bathroom, chair, wardrobe etc Negatives: -No major negatives; the area can be a bit noisy at night. I had brought some ear plugs so this didn't bother me -The first day there was no sign I could place on the door handle saying 'do not disturb' or 'clean please'. I requested it and received one the next day. Overall it was a super positive stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel…
I stayed at the Madrid Centro for twelve days using it as a base to visit the galleries and museums of Madrid and the towns of Segovia and Toledo. The location was great - many places of interest could be walked to, but there was a metro station, Bilbao, which had disabled access, nearby. One of the lines that ran through Bilbao metro went directly to the museum quarter. I had two different rooms - I extended my stay and had to change rooms - and both were spacious and very clean. The breakfast was good and great value for money. The staff were at all times friendly and helpful. I couldn't have asked for more. My only complaint is that the rooms could do with new pillows. I found the existing ones very lumpy and at times uncomfortable.
Firstly the hotel location is amazing! A 1 minute walk to Bilbao station which made navigation around the city super easy! Plus there was plenty in walking distance! The room was quite basic but spotless and despite being on quite a busy street you couldn’t hear anything at night! Beds were comfy which was definitely a bonus! There wasn’t a kettle or safe in the room but there was a hairdryer. The safe was accessible via reception and was free of charge you just had to let a hotel colleague know and they would give you access. There was also a luggage store where we left our luggage before checking out. Finally all of the guys on reception were absolutely lovely and very helpful! Would definitely book again upon returning to Madrid!
