Very nice stay,we got an upgrade for the room that made us so happy🤩The room was clean and spacious, the hotel itself was placed in a cool area, surrounded by restaurants bar shops and meteo at2 minutes by foot. Staff friendly and polite, we really enjoyed the stay here. We recommend!
We booked 3 nights making it clear we had to have a quiet room. The room offered on check-in was facing the main street and very noisy. We asked to be moved but were told we had made a mistake in our booking and only after insisting that the receptionist talk to the manager did we get moved to a 'junior suite' at another part of the hotel. To call this a 'junior suite' is a bit much, we have stayed in standard hotel rooms that were better. It was also just as noisy from paper thin walls and people talking loudly at all hours, the last at 2:30am. We also were offered valet parking prior to our arrival, again valet is not the word for it. The car park is in another street and we had to park the car ourselves, not what I call 'valet'. Overall a very bad experience. The receptionist who handled our problems was more concerned with whether she could resell our room rather than resolve our problem in a professional and courteous manner. She continuously interrupted when we were trying to explain the problems and had no listening skills. At the price charged for a so called 'boutique' hotel the whole thing was a ripoff! We had booked for 3 nights, stayed only one but were still charged for three as we couldn't stay any longer if we wanted a good nights sleep.…
I made a reservation via booking.com For a double room of 17 square meters with a patio on the the description of the room I arrived only to find out that there is no patio to the room and the room allocated it was max 11 square meters with shower in the middle of the room and toilet and sink left and right Needless to say that this room was not featured in any of the photos allocated to a double room in booking.com And the hotel manager firstly described my reservation as a petit double room initially ( not the 17 square meters that was allocated in booking) then she was trying to convince that is normal as they don’t feature all the photos of the rooms and she was insisting to check my reservation confirmation that was still written and confirmed a double room with nothing extra described as petite I call that a scam. And finally she said that a patio is not an outside space but is internal looking rooms and this is the description to it........ It is like going to the butcher to buy meat and arrive in your house to open the bag and find fish inside the bag........exactly that. You would be better off in a nice hostel in madrid that this so called boutique hotel I walked out of there and booked myself in another boutique hotel a real one this time ... Needless to say they denied to refund the money ....…
We took weekend getaway with wife. They gave us ungraded room with bath, very nice. Room was stylish with details added to Scandinavian simple lines. Bed with tempur mattress. Location in Malasaña is great, all in walking distance. We enjoyed baths daily after walk tours, superb!
This hotel is perfect for a Madrid short break .... with great value ..... really cute boutique hotel ... memory foam beds ... large smart tv ..... even an Alexa to use however she only speaks Spanish lol ..... near everything in Madrid very kind and helpful staff I booked a room for one room 104 no breakfast but found a little snack on my door the next morning just hitting the spot while i packed up ... not only would i return but i have my next visit booked .... every detail every button every bit of this hotel was individually designed and crafted.... Bravo
Right in the center of the animated Malasala area with plenty options of restaurants with terrasses and cafes, this hotel offers some brand new rooms. We got one with hot tub and video projector. Just a few things to fix and improve (the cleaning, still some dust in the new room), but really easy to explore this area
Hotel have very good location! Nearly lots of nice restaurant and cafes. Beautiful neighborhood whit lots of street art. Hotel was well maintained whit clean room. Room was quite small but is ok for city vacation.
Only B&B but comfortable rooms but no views. Inexpensive with good breakfast and friendly staff. Dining room very small and will only take about 10 guests at a time. Rooms have showers and some baths/jacuzzies. In a quiet back street and good for visiting the sights of the City. Most taxi drivers had not heard of the hotel!
Arrived earlier than check-in time & got our room, the lady at the reception was super friendly, very professional and nice to talk to. The hotel is super well situated, in a nice neighborhood but still quiet at night. Very well designed, decorated with style ! Breakfast very good (fruit, fresh juice, bread, coffee etc.) Superb rooms (we had a suite, simply amazing !)
We stayed at hotel Abalu for 2 Nights - The Hotels location was easy to find and a great location to easily for easy access to all areas of the City. The room Design was original and we got the impression each room was different. The Front Desk Team were excellent and very hospitable. Housekeeping was ok, i wish they would have changed our towels and filled the Mini Bar however we had to ask, The wifi was was up and down but we didnt let it affect us too much. Each morning there would be a little Wake Up Snack on the door knob which was quite cute and a delicious mouthful as well. We did try to extend. The Web was giving us a much better rate than they would offer us at the Hotel which was weird so we decided to move to another location instead. All in all a good little hotel and we would come back.…
