Lovely, new, amazing location, friendly staff - perfect. Don't hesitate. Really clean, nice atmosphere. On the doorstep great shops and right in the middle of town. I think it is terrific value for the price they charge.

Located is great just a few metres away from Gran Via, small cosy room which is very modern and comfortable, great shower and just enough for a holiday if you are looking for a good priced hostel with a private bathroom. The receptionist who was there everyday was very helpful too and spoke great English (which is a big plus)...

This hostal is fantastic for a weekend in Madrid, right in the middle of the hip area Chueca and Malasana, The reception is very small and bright and Marina who works there is absolutely fantastic. She can help with anything from sightseeing, restaurants and travelling around Madrid. You can walk around to anything. All rooms has shower and toilet and...

A pleasant place, clean and centrally located in shopping areas and good restaurants. I enjoyed the super white linen sheets, stain free and fresh. Cleaning service is prompt and the staff are super helpful. Am coming back again! Super! price is reasonable for the location and its homely ways.

Cute little hostel on a cool shopping street. Very central, easy access to the center and fun barrios as well as to public. Simple but contemporary design, great shower. I asked for a quiet room and got some great rest. My room only had windows to a lighting court so not sure how it is for a longer stay. Jose...

If you are looking for a place to sleep (and not much more) you are at the right hotel. The room is clean, you can have a decent shower, you can sleep. Pricing compared to other Spanish hotels average. The bed is small, the room isn't much bigger, you don't want to open a window because of the stench just...

Because I was expecting a Hostal, and not a Hotel (room). To be honest, if you pay less money, you will not expect a comfortable, clean and really cozy hotel room, but you get here. The hostal is perfect for a weekend stay in Madrid, really central and close to all important sites in the city. We walked by feet...

This was a return stay in July 2015 for me and I enjoyed it just as much as before. Excellent, modern, clean and cool rooms, perfect for hip and happening Chueca. Recently refurbished, it offers the perfect base to explore Madrid, and to have your siesta to recharge for the night ahead!

The hostel and rooms are new, clean, and modern looking. The location is very good. Walking distance to many central places. Metro stations nearby. Spaceous room but with no view. Nice cafes nearby. Casual atmosphere. Stayed there for seven nights. Would go there again.

Staying in Chueca

Neighbourhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
