Reception from check in to check out was very warm, very helpful and friendly. Had this little scary experience at the buffet breakfast. I non intentionally placed croissants in the toaster and thought they woulf fit, but alas the croissants were on fire. i was very apologetic to the lady waitress in white blouse and black pants and she told me its okay. she had to call the head of the kitchen i think lady in red and they managed to control the situation calmly. good thing it did not cause too much commotion. The following morning, they re arranged the toaster and placed the croissants away from it! LOL. They really know their business. Will definitely visit this hotel again!

Dear GlobeTroting801585: I hope you are doing fine . I really appreciate your great sense of humour and even more early in the morning. Our 'normal toaster`' were out of service and we used 'Big Brother'. It's really powerful and likes to burn butter croissants. A few years ago , I had the same experience in a hotel in Granada ,when my wife decided to toast some croissants in a 'Big Brother' .... flames . Wen this toaster is on service , we use to place an advise saying JUST BREAD but we forget to do it . Sorry for this scary experience. I have just shared your review with Diana , the lady in red, she sends you her best regards. Thanks' and have a nice day

Found the bus at terminal 4 eventually not the easiest thing when you’ve 4 suitcases but the driver was extremely helpful once I’d located the bus bus stopped at terminal 3 and 2 on the way to the hotel but it didn’t delay us and we were glad of the service. Check in was easy and fast staff were excellent polite and helpful. The room was adequate for our one night stay so unpacked what we needed and headed down for a beer which was good draft and very reasonably priced

Room was small and hot. Front desk said AC didn’t work and to just open the window and turn the heat off. Street noise was so loud you couldn’t have the TV on. They have a small business area but no paper in printer to print out boarding passes. When I asked for paper was told “oh just email us and we will print”. In the morning while waiting for the shuttle bus you even had to buy coffee if you wanted a cup.

have stayed in Ibis hotels all over the world and have never been so disappointed in a hotel as I have this one. For a hotel that charged 104 eu and a high rate of exchange making it $171.70 CDN I expect to be able to find the ability to make a cup of coffee in my room. No such luck here.
Their charge for a cup of tea was almost $3 and a small cup it was.
the room felt stark one 20 inch tv with only one english speaking channel and that was the Bloomberg channel that deals only with the stock exchange.
No Shampoo, conditioner or body lotion. one towel each .
couldn't find a parking spot when we wanted to check in and no indication of where the parking garage was, Drove round in circles trying to find a spot then gave up and drove to the airport and turned the rental car in. Was then disgusted to find that we were charged 20 eu for a 4 km trip. was told the airport has a policy that that was the smallest amount they would charge. Ripoff Spain. very disapointed. No decent restaurants were open at 7pm when we went to get a good meal

Dear thedoons, thank you for your comments. I am sorry to see that your stay did not meet your expectations. Regarding your comment about the price, I can guarantee we are the hotel with the best quality-price rate in the area, and also that tea & coffee making facility is not a standard in Spain, which is why we do not have it in our rooms, but that's why we have our bar open 24/7. My apologies for the inconveniences. I hope to have the chance of welcoming you again. Kind regards, Luis Ortin Assistant Manager

Clean, comfortable and economical as always, but the shuttle to and from the Barajas airport is no more. You will have to take a taxi from the airport (20 euros) to get the hotel. If you have to go back to the airport, the cost by taxi is less then 10 euros (at least to Terminal 1). There are also very limited food and drink options at the hotel due to Covid-19 restrictions.

The shuttle from the airport to the hotel runs on a schedule so just go to hotel pick up area and wait. I called but it was not necessary. For the first time on the entire trip, they needed our actual passports; a copy would not do. We were able to print boarding passes easily. The elevator requires a key which is good for security but it seemed to be erratic. Our room was typical Ibis which is fine.

They DO NOT take reservations for the shuttle to the airport. We went down for an earlier shuttle than we needed because we had no way of knowing how full it would be. Not only Ibis, but a couple of other Accor brands are listed on the shuttle van. It only went to Ibis. They are very organized about putting people in line in the order they arrived in the lobby. They put you in the van by terminal so luggage for Terminal 1 is in front of the other luggage since they are the first stop at the airport.

This will be our go to hotel for the Madrid airport.

I stayed at this lovely hotel for one night whilst changing flights.

The room rate was fantastic value and the website is clear as to what is included. Due to Covid the shuttle bus is not working and this was very clear. The Uber ride was 11 euros there and 6 back, it was late at night when I arrived.

The check in was seamless even though it was past midnight and I was even offered a free drink, due to my Accor scheme level. The red wine was really welcomed!! The room was typical Ibis style and was very clean. It was also very quiet and I got an excellent nights sleep. Breakfast next morning was excellent and here you order it the night before by filling in a menu card and it is then brought to your table. I really liked this idea since it allows for Covid safety. The lady working the restaurant worked really hard and was very friendly and efficient.

I had communication with the manager both before and after my stay to sort out a query I had and I must say Javier was very approachable and extremely helpful. I think he is a great manager.

Overall, I loved this hotel and stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed there for a night during layover at Madrid.

They do not provide airport shuttle, this qas not advised prior I booked the stay. I kept on waiting at airport fpr my shuttle to arrive, fianlly aftef calling them had to arrange a cab myself to reach. First thing I checked was that whether a cab will be available at 4 in the morning. They did asvice it woupd be available.

Food choices are asked upon arrival and there is a set menu. Dinner and breakfast items were prepared fresh and wete tasty.

They too were short manned but managed very well. The front desk person was alsk serving the meals.

Currently there is no shuttle service running at the hotel to and from the airport, and this is not advertised anywhere on the website! Guests could be stood waiting ages for a shuttle to arrive at the airport. The additional cost to and from the airport can be 20-30 euros in total, so a big increase on just the room cost. Service and room were ok and as expected.

Dear Amy I'm Javier de Lucas, the hotel manager. Our hotel opened on June 29th We decided not to start the shuttle service because the law allows buses to be 100% occupied. It is not possible to guarantee social distance in such a small space and your luggage will be in contact with other customers. Once you arrive at the hotel, you must keep the social distance of 1.5 meters, you cannot share an elevator with other customers, the restaurant has fewer seats. Why offer security measures in some services and not in others? That's why we decided to stop the service for the moment. This decision was published on our site on the 23rd of June . Our partners Booking , Expedia , etc were informed on the same date. Thanks for your comments

I had to stay one night in in Madrid before catching my connection flight next day. I was glad to have chosen this hotel. The shuttle service is complimentary and very convenient, the staff were young and friendly, the room was clean and rennovated and the breakfast was good. I fully recommend it. Just make sure that you wait in line for the shuttle on your way back to the airport as the number of seats is limited , 12 seats or so if I remember correclty
