Nice simple hostel, excellent location! Cheap drinks available at the bar and free breakfast ! They have free walking tours and bar crawl everyday if you are up for it! Overall it's a nice location and hostel, would recommend
Stayed with 3 friends for four nights. The place was safe and clean which is the main thing in judging a hostel in my opinion. Room was way too small for six people, the A/C could only be activated via reception. Beds were rather flimsy....More
The rooms are nice, clean staff are great. But I found that the men just wander into the girls bathrooms there are signs but not in the best location to see. But given that the shower cubicles are so small you can't get dressed in...More
It's just a regular hostel, nothing amazing but not bad at all. Breakfast could be better and rooms are quite small. The location is actually it's best feature, very near to touristic attractions and 2 metro stations.
I made 2 reservations because I have changed my plan. However I didn't know it would be a punishment to myself.
When I checked in, the receptionist told me she is arranging a bed for me so I don't have to check out and check...More

Walking into this neighbourhood is like entering a different country ... except it's hard to tell which one it is. One side of Calle Lavapiés is lined with Indian restaurants, the other with kebab shops. Men in traditional African clothing convene outside their businesses for long chats, and people shout to each other across plazas and streets. Interspersed among ethnic specialty shops are independent theaters and
dance studios, and two large arts and cultural centers — the beautiful Casa Encendida and the Tabacalera, a former tobacco factory — all of which attract young crowds. Along Calle Argumosa, the place to go for drinks, artists and art appreciators with piercings and dreadlocks convene in the street’s eclectic array of young, hip bars. Though some of the side streets can get a little seedy at night, Lavapiés is still the place to go for those seeking a unique blend of arts and culture in an international and funky neighbourhood.
