My wife and I stayed here for 3 days and I must say that we had a wonderful time exploring Madrid. The hotel itself is not big therefore staff can have more time to attend to your every need. We stayed at the 5th floor (Top floor) which does not have a window rather than an adjustable skylight which works...

My son and I traveled to Madrid and enjoyed this boutique hotel for many reasons. The location is the primary one, but the staff was incredibly helpful. We did not eat here as there are so many great places in Madrid to try we opted to venture out for each meal. There is a little Cafe across the street so...

Very nice modern hotel in an excellent location. The front desk staff was always very helpful. The rooms were clean with a nice bathroom. By far the best part of this hotel is the great location. My husband and I don't mind walking, and every site was only about 20 min from the hotel. The only thing stopping me from...

This is kind of like a boutique hotel. It's rather small and located on a one way residential street, which opens on to the main shopping street of Madrid. I had a nice room with a window that looked out on to a street, it was comfortable and good shower. The employees were quite helpful to me. This is not...

We were incredibly happy with our stay at the Recoletos. The location was prime, close enough to walk or ride the metro, but still in a quiet area. While the beds were not as soft as we were accustomed to for Marriott, they were fairly typical of Spain. The room was spotless and spacious. The bathroom could have used a...

I must say this was very much appreciate it as it was my friend´s birthday !!! Staff were great always greeting and very helpful with maps and directions. Location was simply perfect...

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night has we had to stop over in Madrid. You have to take 3 Subways to get here which is 5 euros from the airport. It is perfectly located next to Parque del Retiro and it is a short walk to Gran Via. In the area there is several small cafes. The hotel...

A lovely, comfortable hotel. Only two slight quibbles. I'm not overly keen on glass bathroom walls, particularly when the toilet is in the bathroom. And, worse still, I think it's a bit mean charging for wi-fi. Otherwise, a great location, reaonable price and excellent staff.

Stayed there for 3 nights earlier this month. Check-in and check-out were easy. The lobby has a free wifi where I could check my email upon arrival. The hotel staff are very professional. The room was clean and very modern. The shower has a good pressure of water with great amenities. The hotel location is near perfect. Easy to access...

2nd time I have stayed here and the AC is consistent...good rooms, quite and excellent location if you plan to go to the museums. It is also an easy 15 minute walk to the old town. Breakfast was nice too.

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighbourhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
