Very well situated in city centre with friendly staff. Rooms clean and reasonably priced for the size. Metro to airport. Also I would recommend restaurant Vivares close by. Good ambience with friendly staff and good food.
Stayed here a few years ago, it was my first time ever visiting Spain & I don't think I could have landed in a better spot. This hostel is family owned & the son was the receptionist, very nice, helpful and friendly. Room was TINY...More
truly a case of mistaken identity!!!!!! seemed just fine on the net but suited only for 18 somethings and people who are deaf.
The rooms are the size of a broom closet , the bath even smaller.... claustrophobic! the noise from the street is deafening...More

Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses
here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
