I stayed there for 5 nights with my sister. The room was small but was good value for the price. We have breakfast include and the room was clean and new. It was really close do the subway. The hotel has some small markers and restaurants near. If you just need a place to sleep and have a shower. That is good for you!

Good service, nice room.
Staff well trained and answer guests in a polite way.
Really good location with easy access to city centre and other places.
Rrally recommend this hotel for short stays, as the room is really small. But is functional.

We stayed here for two nights in February. Reception was okay, the room is good. There was a relatively comfortable 2-person bed and a small bed on top if you are with 3 persons. It has a small tv, a douche cabin and a toilet. It isn't very big but it was sufficient. Due to the bad reviews on this site I didn't try the breakfast but there are plenty of breakfast spots in the neighbourhood. We paid €37 per night which is a fair price.

As for the location, the metro stop is 2 minutes away. From the airport, take bus 200 and get off at Canillejas and take the Metro for 2 stops to Suanzes (30 minutes). To get to the centre take the same metro line (green) and get off at Callao or Opera (30/40 minutes). Buy a 10-stops Metro card for approx. €12, it's cheaper!

the room is average in size and could use an extra pillow or two, the amenities are clean and easily accessible although a shower mat to stand on would have been nice; the service of the people is extremely helpful and friendly and generally good value for money, it is near the metro which takes you all over Madrid and the shopping nearby is fantastic.

Receptionist was rude and unhelpful accusing us of not paying for breakfast which I had booked on-line. When I produced the receipt we didn't even get an apology. She became argumentative raising her voice to us. While I appreciate this is a budget hotel, courtessy costs nothing. This was totally unacceptable.

I love Ibis hotels - clean, sleak, new. This one was all of those things. A fun little budget hotel. It is, however, in the middle of nowhere, which was fine for my purposes, but I would never choose this hotel if doing tourism in Madrid.

We were delighted with our stay at the Hotel Ibis Budget c/Rufino Gonzalez 19, Madrid. The rooms are, of course, small, but at a cost of £30 for a double room, no complaints! The beds were comfortable, the showers, sinks and towels perfectly clean. A lot of thought had gone into making it possible to fit into a small room. More mirrors and hooks on walls than in more expensive accommodation. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The parking was also extremely cheap for a city centre, at 7 euros per day. Free wi-fi, to the delight of my two teenage sons. The metro (Suanzes) was less than a two minute walk away. It was 11 stops to the centre (about 15 mins), and a 10 journey metro ticket cost 12 euros. The area around the hotel was quiet. I would definitely stay here again, or in any other Ibis budget hotel.

We entered the name of the hotel into google maps and ended up near the jail, so don't do this. Once we did manage to get to the hotel we were greeted by a young blonde girl on reception after she finished talking with another member of staff. She seemed disinterested in checking us in and took a long time. We asked for a map of the city and she threw it at us without explaining where we were (off the map ironically) or anything about the city. We asked about breakfast and she failed to tell us that this had not been included with our reservation and therefore incurred an extra cost. We also asked for the location of the nearest laundromat (it had been a long time so we were desperate) and she told us the name of a shopping centre without telling us where it was. After we asked she reluctantly wrote it down for us with the name of the metro station to get there. The laundromat was not there, either. At another time we wanted to purchase wifi (5 euro per 24 hours - the first Etap we have stayed at to charge for wifi) and she seemed more interested in batting her eyelids at a male guest she had finished checking in prior to us, rather then completing our request. All other members of staff were ok.

The room was typical Etap - clean, simple and basic. Nothing more than you would expect for the price.

We had breakfast one morning and it was the poorest variety we have seen at an Etap.

The location is typical of Etap - within a couple of minutes walking of public transport making it very convenient to get into the city centre.

Overall it is typical of an Etap - cheap, basic and close to public transport, just don't expect great customer service.

We spent 4 nights in this hotel. The hotel is several minutes walk to Sanzes Metro station, which can bring you to down town in 20 minutes. The hotel is also close to some restaurants, groceries and shoping malls, it's about 10-20 minutes by a taxi to airport, costing about 20 euros, and hotel can ask a taxi for you. The room is small and clean with a shower and a toilet. You can watch CNN through a small LCD TV. The 39 euros per night is real worthwhile in my opinion. We didn't try the breakfast, you can easily have your breakfast in the nearby bars or restaurants, or you can buy something from the groceries. Only one problem is the terrible smell sometimes, you can opean window, it would vanish in minutes.

How far is this hotel from Madrid Barajas airport
Answer from Saubhik S

Metro is the cheapest way but not the most convenient. I suggest to get the transport card from the metro station which is within the airport (you don't to get out of the station). We took the metro and had to change twice (easy to download a metro map). The taxi takes you along the shorter route. We decided on the metro as the service is available for practically the whole day and night. It took us around 1 hour.

I am afraid it is not on the bus route. However you can catch a bus or the metro and reach the starting points for the bus within 40 min

Oh, the first metro from Suanzes station (near hotel) is at 06.05 AM. But the last is at 01.30 AM. If you don´t want to expend money with a Taxi or Uber, please get the last metro at 01.30 AM and stay at train station until 5.50 AM. Uber is cheap... a nice option.
