Although the rooms are clean and comfortable they are in need of updating the decor is depressing. Much is left to be said about the attitude of most of the staff-- arrogant -- The hotel and Cosenza was rather disappointing so much so that we...More

This hotel is so good, I stayed for 6 weeks!!! I was in the area for work and was due to move, but we decided due to the comfort, parking security and closeness to the Autostrada and other amenities that it was simply the best...More

An extremely well appointed chain hotel at an extremely reasonable price (twin room for just over £50). As a stop off en route from Sicily to Naples this was ideal. Everything you expect from a good 4 star hotel and the restaurant served a very...More

This hotel was very nice. It was modern and very comfortable. The restaurant was also enjoyable. The only problem we experienced was during the night, our room was warm. It seems the air conditioning is preset and will not go below a certain temperature. It...More

We are planning a trip to Rome, Florence and Venice. Although out of the way, we want to visit San Fili in Calabria to see where my parents grew up. We were thinking of the train from Rome and staying 2 nights in Cosenza, and then taking the train from Consenza to Florence to finish off our intended trip. Our agent suggested flying in and out of Calabria, but others have said with the travel to/from airports you might as well take the train. May I ask your thoughts? Also, is it worth stopping off? I understand San Fili is very small...would we be able to find things to do in Consenza? Is it a good visit? Time of year is November. Our main reason for adding on this visit is that we may not have the opportunity to visit Italy anytime soon again and would love to be able to see where my parents grew up so that we can share it with them upon our return.
