Perfectly located in the heart of Amalfi steps from Piazza Duomo. This was our fourth stay in Amalfi and first at this hotel. This hotel is the best by far. The entire team at Hotel Amalfi from reception, management, housekeeping and security were an absolute joy. Always cheerful, professional, welcoming and helpful. Special thanks to Sara, Maria and Ciro- they provided exceptional personal and world class service. The spacious suite was renovated and very well done. The bed was so comfortable!! Everything about the suite was perfect- super clean, modern and very quiet!

We are a family of four arriving up those long steps with 4 big suitcases and we were brought there by a luggage carrier person (who tried to extort 10 euros per suitcase) and calling us crazy because we said the fees were included (all our transportation and transfers were made-paid and organized by our airline-travel agency). We found out he brought us to the wrong hotel and the old italian man ther, the owner of the hotel who was there, instead of helping us, began yelling at us to leave and banging on the counter! Like he was happy at our misfortune!. My daughter was crying... I can't believe people acting this way and how they can sleep at night and live with themselves...Not only unprofessional but really mean in the worst way... I can't express enough how nobody should encourage a bully like that....

I booked a room that had a bath tub (based on the photos of the room on the website) but was given one with a shower! I was travelling with a elder relative that had some pain and itching in her feet and a soak in a 🛁 bath tub brings relief! I explained this to the receptionist (a very lovely and kind gentleman) on arrival but was told nothing could be done until the next day. The next day I explained the same thing to the receptionist (a lady) and she informed me that the room doesn’t in fact have a bath and the photos used were from another room! She refused to rectify the issue and asked that if wanted a room with a tub, I pay more money to be put in another room with a bath tub! I could not afford to do this, as I had already paid more for the boutique room that supposedly had a bath 🛁 based on the photos on the website but turned out not to have a bath! This upset our stay as my relative was in discomfort. I believe guests are misled by the website and the hotel should have done something to rectify this issue, and will not be coming back to this hotel!

Wonderful stay in a beautiful location. Walkable and convenient to everything. Very nice and helpful staff. Rooms very comfortable and cool even in the extreme heat during which we were visiting. We highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Amalfi!

The staff is extremely nice and helpful! The room was clean and a great size, and they offer a free breakfast buffet (with great food!) every day of your stay. It is less than a 5 min walk to the port and buses, and is right on the main street with everything. Loved it!

This hotel is perfectly located with amazing staff and very clean and spacious rooms the breakfast is amazing! Yes amazing the biggest selection that my family and I have seen so far through our tour of Italy. Yes, the beds, we’ve notice throughout Italy the beds are hard. It does make your start of the day difficult if you have a back problem like my daughter and I. I wish they would offer at least a thick topping for the mattress to whomever can’t handle hard beds. Thank you Jessica for your kind help. She was a joy to speak to. We met the owners son and his family. Can’t wait to see baby Gabriel next time we visit. God bless your family! It is a beautiful hotel they made us feel like one of their family members. Arrevederci! Until we meet again.

The hotel is very charming, perfect location and the nicest people ever! The only issue with this hotel is the very hard bed. When you are on vacation, the bed is very important. You really have to do something with this. When you have done it, we would love to come back.

We stayed at Hotel Amalfi from the 7th to 9th October 2022. We received an email through our booking site Expedia, extract: “We can suggest you to park, however, in the Amalfi public parkings – Luna Rossa and Berma Portuale – cost € 35,00 per day, requesting long stay We also can suggest you to park in the port of Salerno “Piazza della Concordia” and the catch the ferry to Amalfi. Is very important to not enter in the historical centre with the car without authorization because is pedestrian area and you can have a penalty” We followed the suggestion to park in the unmanned parking lot Berma Portuale on the western side of the harbor. We spend the two nights in the hotel, nice room with balcony and not so fantastic views, but an okay experience. As we checked out from the parking lot after a little less than 2 days, the bill was 213 Euros and not the expected 2 x 35 = 70 Euros, which is already a very high price. We could not get in contact with anyone and in order to get the car out we paid the “fine”. I find the hotel is responsible for the information sent and requests the difference to be returned to me. If the parking authorities of Amalfi can not handle the correct payment, you should make sure to change the message sent to all Expedia clients, that they should not park in Berma Portuale, if that is really the case. The hotel has not replied on the notes listed above and probably don't care. I suppose the recommendation of using the parking lot in the harbour is still sent out to customers, so please make sure you park somewhere else...

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Amalfi. The Hotel is a short, easy walk from the ferry and bus stop. It is very centrally located. Our room was very clean and had a small patio in a courtyard. There was no view, but we didn't expect one. The breakfast was served on the roof patio with excellent town and mountain views. The highlight of our stay was the front desk clerk, Sara. I asked her many questions about tours, transportation and restaurants and she is a local expert. Sara is the best! I would recommend Hotel Amalfi to my friends.

The response from the hotel to help me when I had to leave early because my father had a stroke is just so sad and disappointing. I had to unexpectedly leave on day 2 of 7 in order to be at the hospital with my father, and the hotel is UNWILLING to help me out and refund even just a few of the days. At a time when I am dealing with this and having to fly to support him, they are not willing to work with me and refund me for even a portion of the money I had paid for the room - it's just so disappointing, no humanity to help each other out. I did pay for the refundable fare, although i know that leaving in the middle of the trip does not qualify for that- but in a family emergency, is so sad they are not even willing to work with me. They are making a hard time harder. I have written and called and noone will even respond. What happened to having a heart and helping each other out? Sure, keep my $2,600, for a room that was unused, and make a though time even tougher. When you probably were able to still rent out the room.
