Small, tucked in at the end of a narrow via, L'Antico Convitto is a perfect place to call home on a visit to Amalfi! We had one of the smaller rooms, no problem for the two of us, but it was charming and very comfortable. Breakfast was of the typical spread but fresh and satisfying. The biggest appeal, however, is the personal touch of owner Gennaro, His warm, friendly manner is instantly welcoming. He spent a good 30 minutes sharing things with us about the town, giving us ideas on where to go, what to do, Wonderfully so, the hotel is connected to set tours they offer guests free of charge! We lucked out and were able to go on the guided hike along the Path of the Gods. Absolutely this is a MUST do!!! Incredible views you'll have to pinch yourself to believe are real! Gennaro is obviously as enamored with his hometown as visitors are, the pride and passion evident on his face as he shares and enjoys listening to his guests excitement over their experiences. The hotel is also in a perfect location... not too far up the main pedestrian road, very close to the bus terminal, and steps away from many great restaurants and shops. We did have a car, and once we figured out the initially confusing system, parking in the underground parking "cave" was not difficult. This is a fabulous place to stay...highly recommend for its comfort, charm, and the TLC offered by the owners, We'll hopefully be back in Amalfi in early summer - no question our #1 choice on where to stay!

Just a short walk from the central plaza, found thru an alley way, this is a fine hotel with personal service from the owners. Need a towel to swim in the ocean? Provided (it was late October, but I still wanted to swim in the 68 degree water). Room was very, very large. Parking available up the street, just 5 minute walk. Only wish the breakfast had been more varied, higher quality, some fresh baked things.

There’s a reason this place gets so many stellar reviews, it’s simply wonderful. My husband and I stayed in their largest suite for a total of 9 nights. They were able to accommodate our late arrival and there any time we had a question. Every member of the staff was incredibly nice. Breakfast every morning included delicious pastries, juices, charcuterie, as well as cereal, toast with fresh preserves, teas, espresso and coffee. As amazing as the pizza and pasta were all throughout Amalfi, we looked forward to breakfast every single morning from the rooftop patio overlooking the water and cathedral. Within walking distance to the entirety of Amalfi. Overall, one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had and we would recommend this place highly to anyone visiting from the US and other English speaking countries as they spoke the language nearly perfectly.

The hotel is located in the center of Amalfi and it’s close to everything you may need. The room was well furnished, clean and comfortable. I strongly recommend the terrace where you can have breakfast. The owner Gennaro was a great host, helpful, culturally prepared and kind. We will be back! Thanks for everything!

My group of 10 spent 2 nights at this hotel. Perfect location, but off the main road for a little more quiet, good breakfast, etc. It had all we needed. What stood out for me was the support of the host and staff. I needed help to arrange a covid test for my daughter....Done! Whenever I needed some suggestions or recommendations, the map came out and I was given a perfect blue-print of where to go, where to eat, logistics, etc. Help like that is worth a lot to me! Great stay, thanks so much!
