Boutique hotel, located in the heart of Amalfi, in an ancient building, 50 meters from the Cathedral of Sant'Andrea Apostolo and 150 meters from the sea. Equipped with terrace with sea view. Managed directly by the owners, Gennaro and Gabriella, who will make you feel at home, giving you a warm and friendly welcome. It can easily be reached on foot in two minutes from the port and the bus and ferry terminal. Lets visit Amalfi on foot. It is located in the pedestrian area and therefore very quiet and peaceful. The hotel organizes city tours and to other famous places. It is within walking distance of the best restaurants and trattorias of Amalfi. The furnishings are typically local style. Breakfast is always included, it is free and can be taken on the terrace with sea view.

This 3 star hotel lies at foot distance from Amalfi Duomo and is located in the heart of Amalfi. The rooms are wide, with double glasses, well furnished and cleaning is accurate. No noise from the outside can disturb your dreams.Staff is friendly and you will feel at home. Every request is considered and exhausted, if possible of course. Mr Gennaro the manager, gives plenty of info about the city and the territory. Not only touristic info but historical too. I was granted a very interesting 2 hour tour of Amalfi with a wonderful guide, Mr Michelangelo who knows everything from Amalfi and the surroundings. The breakfast is served every day from 7.30 and is prepared by the staff. There is all you need and if something is missing, they will try to satisfy you. Beautiful is the 360° roof terrace which is shared with others but the best part is taken by l Antico Convitto. You can have a drink or eat on it and nobody will not disturb you. Peace is at its place on the terrace where it seems that you could keep the cupola of the Duomo in your hands.

This hotel is absolutely one of the best places I have ever stayed in. As soon as we hopped on the ferry to go to Positano we were already missing our time back in Amalfi. Many thanks to Mr. Gennaro and staff. The employees at this hotel made us not only feel absolutely welcome, but recommended to us great places to go, things to see and places to eat. They have an intimate knowledge of the hotel and the local area and you can tell they really love where they live at in Amalfi. The location is great which is on the "main river", but far away enough from it so that you aren't bombarded by noise from the street. Finally getting breakfast and dining up on the terrace was one of my favorite activities I looked forward too. Thanks again Mr. Gennaro and company. We look forward to seeing you soon again!

3rd time in Amalfi, 3rd time at L Antico Convitto. This 3 star hotel, located in the city centre of Amalfi, at walking distance from the Duomo was chosen again and it will be my reference hotel in Amalfi. The owner and the whole staff are very friendly and make you feel not only a guest but a friend at their house. You only need to ask for something and Mr Gennaro or Mrs Rossella will be there to help you. The hotel is in the city centre but once in your wide, well furnished and clean room, you will hear only the silence and the Duomo bells that regularly beat the time of the day..... and not only! From the silent terrace you will see and hear plenty of swallows.....this is a true magic atmosphere.

Good value for money and although a little tricky to find it’s in a great location and waking up to church bells delightful. Lovely roof top terrace looking at the church and they welcome you to take your breakfast up there . Not far up the road is a self serve laundry so a good location to catch up on travel washing and greet restaurants nearby. The rooms are a little dated but a comfortable bed and the bedroom was separate to a lounge room and bathroom so a good space with plenty of wardrobe space. For us the breakfast was not very satisfying. Breakfast cereals all sweet and other selections lacking. The ladies made us lovely coffee though so that and a croissant and off you go.

We are from Wales UK and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. It is perfectly placed in the centre and was only a minute walk from the bus station and to all the amenities. The spectacular cathedral is also on the doorstep and worth a visit.

Gennaro the manager of the hotel was very friendly and efficient, he gave us instructions in advance of how to reach the hotel which was useful. He told us of the lovely places he would recommend we visit and arranged for us to have a private transfer to the airport on our way home to avoid a long journey with a bus and train.

Breakfast was plentiful! We had a lot of variety with cereals, pastries, fruit, meats, yogurt, pancakes, Jams etc. They were extra careful with covid precautions and they asked us to point out what we wanted so they could serve it to us, rather than us helping ourselves. We were welcome to eat as much as we wanted.

The room was clean and spacious, complimentary slippers and shower gels etc. We had a room with a spa bath which was lovely.

They have a roof terrace with amazing views, unfortunately we didn’t get chance to sit up there because we had bad storms!

Amalfi is a gorgeous part of Italy and this hotel is the perfect place to stay to enjoy it. Highly recommended. Thank you Gennaro and staff for a lovely stay. We will be back!

We loved out stay at l'antico convitto. The location is perfect smack in the center of the old town and all the amenities and 5-10min walk to the catching bus and boats.
But the cherry on the cake was the friendliness and the help of Gennaro and his staff.
We had excellent recommendations for boat tour rentals, restaurants and places to visit. So if you stay there trust his recommendations to get the best stuff. They even arranged a nice little celebration at breakfast for my 11-year old daughter birthday.
Grazie mille Gennaro!

PERFECT location in the center of Amalfi old town
Our host Genaro was the best, kindest, most helpful, offering all sorts of useful information and stories about the history of Amalfi, sightseeing etc.
We even received a free upgrade to a room with a jacuzzi.
Good breakfast with nice coffee, served on a rooftop garden - a delight!!
The room was nice and very clean, with great air conditioning control, veeery nice pillows and bed.
They reserved us a place for the car 150 m up the street (which in Amalfi is greaat).
When we arrived Genaro gave us all the info we possibly needed, ferry timetables etc.
Best experience ever, best host ever, great stay in Amalfi

Small, tucked in at the end of a narrow via, L'Antico Convitto is a perfect place to call home on a visit to Amalfi! We had one of the smaller rooms, no problem for the two of us, but it was charming and very comfortable. Breakfast was of the typical spread but fresh and satisfying. The biggest appeal, however, is the personal touch of owner Gennaro, His warm, friendly manner is instantly welcoming. He spent a good 30 minutes sharing things with us about the town, giving us ideas on where to go, what to do, Wonderfully so, the hotel is connected to set tours they offer guests free of charge! We lucked out and were able to go on the guided hike along the Path of the Gods. Absolutely this is a MUST do!!! Incredible views you'll have to pinch yourself to believe are real! Gennaro is obviously as enamored with his hometown as visitors are, the pride and passion evident on his face as he shares and enjoys listening to his guests excitement over their experiences. The hotel is also in a perfect location... not too far up the main pedestrian road, very close to the bus terminal, and steps away from many great restaurants and shops. We did have a car, and once we figured out the initially confusing system, parking in the underground parking "cave" was not difficult. This is a fabulous place to stay...highly recommend for its comfort, charm, and the TLC offered by the owners, We'll hopefully be back in Amalfi in early summer - no question our #1 choice on where to stay!

Everything was beyond my expectations so I liked my stay there very much. The best location and the cleanest room to my booking.com experience up to now; rooftop view and excellent breakfast, excellent facilities and services and more important very nice and supportive staff, in particular the manager. He is very responsible and this is so appreciated. He is always available and very helpful. I did a last minute booking and this came up with a great decision. I had a short stay, but I got a good concept of Amalfi by help of the manager. He suggested me a clean, calm and quiet beach nearby and gave me a swimming towel for free. Because of my limited time, he suggested me Ravello as a day visit where the panorama view is amazing. Also he offered me a quiet room on my request and when I got a problem with the safety box, he solved it immediately.

Quality accommodation in the heart of Amalfi - we had a suite with large double and large sofa bed. Very clean, high ceilings, good breakfast, wifi OK. Fantastic roof terrace overlooking the Byzantine facade of the 13th century cathedral. Parking is good in a garage further up the main street - enter the cathedral piazza from the south and drive up when the traffic lights allow. A magical place, so much better than Positano or Sorrento.
