The Salerno Centro came highly recommended to us by relatives who stayed here last year and couldn't say enough positive things, and after our recent 5 night stay, we are in full agreement with them! There is a very good reason this b&b is consistently rated #1 in Salerno year after year! I cannot imagine a place more accommodating, comfortable,...

If you are struggling with Italian but want to see the Amalfi coast, you can do no better than Salerno Centro. The reason is the personal care from Francesco. He and his new wife met us at the train station which was a real help since we were not familiar with Salerno and arrived late in the afternoon from Lake...

It was like visiting a best friend's place instead of a B&B business. The family was always there to help but never intrusive. Directions to places of interest were set out on a map and timetables were on tap. Coffee or a cold drink were offered on arrival. Breakfast was served with care and attention to the guests' needs. The...

I have just returned home yet again from Salerno and of course I stayed at Salerno Centro B&B; I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else! It is just as comfortable, and enjoyable as I remember from my previous visits. The standards of cleanliness, facilities and comfort are as high as ever and with every visit I feel relaxed, very well...

Of all the B/B,s I have stayed in around the world, I consider this to be the most impressive and the best. The service was faultless, the rooms fantastic and the owners were surperb. Ten out of Ten in all catorgories.

Happy to have begun and ended my stay at Salerno Centro. Francesco has thought about and made provisions for every possible need. Lena, his mother, prepared a wonderful breakfast, and his father, Pasquale, appeared often as well, to offer rides if needed. The rooms were cleaned and tidied each day. Francesco checked with us frequently in case we needed info...

It's difficult to offer something that has not already been identified and discussed by so many on this forum. First, the highlights: Francesco, Lina, Pasquale, Silvia, Paola, Carla... all the members of the family (okay... Paola and Carla are not technically family, but it seemed as though they were...) were all extremely nice, helpful, genuine, and have great senses of...

We started our recent month long trip to Italy with 3 nights at Salerno Central which is run by Francesco and his family. Communication both prior to and during our stay was excellent, Francesco's english is quite good. The Positano room was very clean, comfortable and had a patio. The breakfast was great and included eggs. The location is perfectly...

This is a fabulous family run B&B in the heart of Salerno. Francesco and everyone truly go out of their way to make sure you enjoy every aspect of your stay. They are very knowledgable about the local area and provide not only information on what to do and see but will organise trips and excursions if needed, transport and...

Most of the reviews here reflect the experience I had with Francesco and his family! That is to say, it was a wonderful 4 nights that I missed when I moved out and up to Rome! From the time I first read about Salerno Centro and emailed about availability, Francesco went out of his way to insure everything was set...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Salerno Centro" Bed and Breakfast is housed in a former convent of 15th century. We are located in the main square of salerno, about 800 meters from Salerno train station: a simple and pleasant 10-minute walk along the pedestrianized Corso vittorio emanuele, the most important shopping area of Salerno. You can choose between three very comfortable rooms with private or en-suite bathroom with free wi-fi connection and air conditioning. The free wi-fi connection is also provided in the wide common spaces. A limited made-to-order breakfast is served on a beautiful terrace which you relax yourself after the trips around Salerno. The intercity buses and the ferries to Amalfi, Positano and Capri are all 10 minutes away. There are many cafes, bars, restaurants and shops in the immediate vicinity, and the local bus lines are just a few steps away. Salerno deserves a full day or more just by itself, and can be used as a citybase for daytrips to the Amalfi coast, Cilento coast, Capri, Paestum, the Royal Palace of Caserta, Pompei, Ercolanum and Naples itself."Salerno centro" will be your home away from home. ... more   less
