Nestled in the heart of Sorrento, Palazzo Jannuzzi Relais stands out for its central location, favored by guests eager to explore the town's offerings. While some mention that its vibrancy might not be for those in search of peace, the hotel's spacious and immaculate rooms with scenic views have received widespread acclaim.
Despite occasional noise, measures like insulated windows have been noted for their effectiveness. Compliments abound for the varied amenities and the exceptional service provided by attentive staff, with the extensive breakfast experience and overall cleanliness earning particular praise.

Detailed Reviews
A Contemporary Hotel in a prime location overlooking the Piazzo Tasso, you could not be physically more central with the Pedestrian High Street leading off, Port a short walk ahead and many bars and restaurants very close by with our most favourite being il Bucco some 3 minute walk.
Noise was not an issue as Sorrento from experience is not really that type of venue, the surrounding bars and restaurants played background music at a pleasant volume.
We had a Air conditioned Suite on the 3rd floor which there is lift to, the room was very bright and airy with an upmarket decorated Mediterranean theme and impeccably clean, the Suite layout is well thought out on two levels with a large wet room & large shower head etc. It had a small Kitchenette, ideal for making drinks although if one wanted meals could be prepared & produced. There is a table & chairs on the 2nd level.
The room has a Safe and Mini Bar with the essentials.
A large private terrace with chairs, table and sun loungers with good views of the surrounding area.
Although we have holidayed 3 times previously in Sorrento we have never really done the Italian breakfast and stayed towards an English style of breakfast but by the 2nd day I was very much enjoying Italian baking courtesy of Ariane, as already mentioned at first I was a bit reluctant to eat cake etc at breakfast but the baking was from a different level and there was something new I had never tried each day.
From the Q's about the review the staff within the hotel were really helpful and polite I am sure whatever you asked for within the hotel they would be only too happy to help you with, they are able to arrange car hire with a difference and that being an Alfa Spyder, good if there is only 2 people not so good with 3.
Parking anywhere around the Amalfi coast incurs costs and the nearby car park was no exception charging 30 Euros for 14hrs + .

We originally booked this holiday for late April/early May, to coincide with our wedding anniversary. Covid meant we had to cancel, along with a trip to Bologna, late June.
As soon as local and Italian restrictions were lifted, we rebooked our Sorrento trip.
The Hotel was everything we expected it to be, and more. Our room was so spacious and comfortable, and our sun terrace a real sun trap. Covid precautions are really good and well observed by all.
The breakfast choice is fantastic, literally something for all tastes and beautifully presented; you can eat in the breakfast room or out on the terrace. The mini bar in the Room was very useful, well stocked and unlike a lot of places, priced like a shop/bar, so it was great to have whatever you wanted, especially water for the night, without paying silly money.
The staff were so kind and helpful, arranging our transfers from and back to the airport, plus a boat trip to Capri and car trip to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello.
It is a short (5/10 min) walk down to the marina and likewise to the beach and bathing platforms. There are loads of restaurants, trattorias and bars, within short walking distances; we tried as many as we could and all were great, with prices to suit all.
As our return flight was late in the evening, it was particularly helpful to be able to store the cases at the hotel, so we could make the most of our last day. We were then able to return to the Hotel, late afternoon, and spend the last hour on the breakfast terrace, before the Driver picked us up for the return to the airport.
We have holidayed in Italy almost every year for the last 25 years, sometimes a few occasions each year, and aside of 2 trips to Venice and here, we’ve always hired a car to get about. I must say I didn’t miss having a car, at all, and I’d say that having a hire car in Sorrento and neighbouring areas would be problematic in terms of parking, but each to his/her own.
The whole holiday was a real treat and we very much hope to return at some point. Thank you Ariane, Barbara, Rafael and all the staff (sorry I don’t know all the names), for making it a special

What an extraordinary experience!! Booked for 2 days and kept extending it to 5! Jr. Suite with terrace was heavenly, overlooking Piazza Tasso. Homemade breakfast of soft scrambled eggs and bacon, fresh fruits, juices and wow, the pastries! Everything about this palace was one delightful surprise after another. The suite’s decorative selections enchanting. Bold oranges and black and white pinstriped walls, sofas. Never seen a bathroom sparkle like this! You step into a rain shower - roomy spotless and delicate body soaps.
The beautiful owner Arianne is a cordial professional with an incredible staff of longtime family workers.
Did I mention the heavenly pillows and comfortable bed!?
We did not want to leave this paradise, and to think we live in AnaCapri...!!

This was our second time staying at Palazzo Jannuzzi. The location is excellent, right on Piazza Tasso. The 3 rooms at the front of the hotel each have a large private terrace, where we enjoy sitting and watching city life go by. But close the terrace doors and the room is quiet. The hotel is immaculate, the staff is so nice and friendly, and service is excellent. Breakfast had many freshly-made options and was served by the staff. Breakfast seating in the dining room or out on the rear terrace was nicely spaced out. The hotel staff arranged a pickup for us at FCO, and also booked a driver service from Sorrento to Positano, and again from Positano to Napoli Centrale, even well after we had left the hotel. We could not have asked for more, and we will definitely return again.

The Palazzo Jannuzzi Relais provided my wife Angela and myself one of our best hotel experiences ever. Without doubt , the best hotel location to visit Sorrento as you over look the main square from your spacious balcony. We booked a suite which was only beautiful, spacious in every way, twin balconies over looking the main square, your own couch , desk area , fridge, and fabulous bathroom and shower facilities. The breakfast is a sublime buffet with gorgeous cakes each morning for which the owner Arianna is famous for. Take the boat trip to Capri organised by the hotel, small groups and private much better than the local crowded boats. Would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, made our visit to Sorrento memorable.

The very best in hospitality and comfort, this family home turned hotel boasts a charming staff and the most impressive breakfasts I’ve ever encountered. I didn’t want to leave. Better than a 5 star hotel, the Januzzi family excels in creating a uniquely complete experience in location, comfort, and nourishment for the body, mind, and soul.

My husband and I are currentky staying here and I love it. Conveniently located in Piazza Tasso this hotel is great value for your money. Clean, modern with a lovely American breakfast available. Room 25 is like a mini loft apartment. Large spacious and on the top floor, this room is amazing. It has the main “living” area and an separate alcove with a bed so three people can sleep comfortably in this room. The room comes with its own balcony. Amazing.
Please note the elevator is small and you have to take an elevator to the main elevator. But it’s fine! This place is worth it.
The room is equipped with a tv, safe, fridge stocked with goodies.
The bathroom features a rain head shower head as well as a handheld and large tub. The bathroom is large.
If I return to Sorrento I will stay here again. Love Palazzo Jannuzzi!

Palazzo Jannuzzi was a delight from the moment we booked. Ariane and her team replied immediately to my requests and queries and arranged the airport transfer for us. The central location is perfect for access to the town, the port and the station as well as an easy pick up point for excursions and taxis.
Our room at the front of the hotel had two spacious balconies, one overlooking the piazza. It was spotlessly clean and the double glazing prevented noise penetration from the activities in the piazza in the evening.
The breakfast offered a superb choice including numerous home made "goodies" and during our ten day stay we were able to eat on the beautiful terrace for eight mornings, even in November.
All the staff are friendly and helpful without being intrusive.
Overall, The Palazzo Jannuzzi is the perfect place to stay in Sorrento offering a family atmosphere that is just not available in large chain operated hotels. We will certainly not look further than this hotel when we return to Sorrento

This is quite possibly the the hotel that ticks more boxes than any other I have stayed in. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the breakfast ladies were lovely every morning and our room was just perfect.
The hotel is right on the main square and so is perfectly positioned to explore this beautiful town. Despite the hustle and bustle outside it is so tranquil and calm inside. Our room was large and brightly decorated with many tasteful touches and ornaments which complemented the contemporary but traditional feel of the hotel.
Wherever we found ourselves in the evening (we didn't eat at the same place twice, we kept finding new and different restaurants and bars) it was never far to walk 'home'. We spent 5 nights here and had just the best, most relaxing time possible and our room (no 21) was worth every cent we paid.

Greatest stay in a wonderful House in the center of the city, our rooms and bathrooms were spacious, with a sunny terrasse, the design and décoration modern and with good taste, safe, fridge, enough hangers… everything was at our disposal. The atmosphère was familiar, the breakfast suuuper: with home made cakes, different breads, marmelade, butter, cheese, eggs etc etc… and all personnel so cute and helpful day and night. When my dog opened herself the door of our room while I was out for diner they trapped her and brought her back into the room, this was so funny. Thanks again for such a great service. I highly recommend the B&B Palazzo Jannuzzi. For sure I will come back maybe already next year. Evelyne
