Hotel's Favourite
Plenty of room for families if you book the suite. Great breakfast for all tastes with a dramatic view of the volcano. Great pools and easy walk to the main square. Take a stroll through the on site orange grove. You can and should taxi to the smaller fishing village to dine and walk back.

This was our 8th visit to the hotel and once again it didn't disappoint despite the COVID situation. At all times we felt really safe with lots of sanitiser stations, all staff wearing face masks and keep all areas spotlessly clean.
Guests are required to wear masks walking around the indoor areas of the hotel, but this is to be expected.
For the week we stayed, occupancy was less than 10% which was really disappointing for the hotel but did make for very personal service for guests despite the reduced number of staff in the hotel.
Our room was sealed for arrival and kept clean throughout our stay. As already mentioned in other reviews, breakfast was taken at the pool bar with this being outdoors and safety once again being the priority. Thanks to the two Pepe's for excellent service and we were more than happy with the reduced breakfast selection. Only a minor gripe, but being outdoors did bring a lot of wasps around the dining space.
Pool areas were clean and sunbeds well spaced. As Hilton Diamond members we did have access to the roof top Exec Lounge, so spent most of our time sunbathing in that area.
Snacks and drinks in the lounge were all sealed and/or bottled again for safety reasons. Whilst there was some criticism at the lack of choice in the lounge, I expect moving to these types of item will be increasing the cost for the hotel.
During our stay we enjoyed excellent weather (touching 30C most days) and we will certainly consider travelling in September again.
Check-in and advanced information of what to expect at the hotel was kindly provided by Danielle on Front Desk.
Sorrento town was as beautiful as ever, but like the hotel, it was very quiet due to the COVID situation. Most restaurants were filled with locals rather than tourists, but we do hope the crowds will come back to Sorrento in the near future for the sake of the local economy.
We will certainly be back again.

Amazing hotel! The views are stunning, the decor is very impressive & it’s a close walk to the town. Upon arrival the first thing we noticed was how organised this hotel is with peoples safety! They have hand sanitisers every few yards and staff insist you wear your mask at all times. This put me and my family at ease from the get go as we were a little nervous about holidaying. Check in was swift and guidelines around the hotel had been highlighted.
With regards to dining: I have personally worked in hospitality for 20+ years, and I can tell you that this is a well run catering team & the front of house staff are great!
I think the industry is in troubling times but how these staff members conducted themselves was exceptional. Due to covid I am sure the hotel has had to make major changes - providing a service to the highest standard and keeping people safe is no easy job! These guys are doing it well.
Currently breakfast is brought to your table instead of buffet (I can live with that) waiters rush around making drinks to order while being called else where, it’s a hard game and they deserve credit. I would like to mention Peppe & Domenico! They were always going above and beyond! Our favourite meals were at the bbq garden which is stunning in the evening and again I put this down to the final touches of the hospitality staff (and of course the groundsmen!!) food and drink is pricey but it is Sorrento! It all comes with the most amazing views and settings.
The pools are great too! Very clean and mostly organised. Rooms are cleaned daily too. Keep up the good work 👍🏻

This was our second stay at the Hilton Sorrento Palace Hotel. The hotel is a fantastic standard, with all the rooms recently refurbished.
The hotel is slighty out of town (10-20min walk), this affords fantastic views over Naples Bay to Mount Vesuvius.
There are 5 linked pools for general use, a beautiful indoor pool for winter use.
As diamond members, we where upgraded to a Deluxe King Sea View, as well as access to the rooftop executive lounge. The lounge has its own pool, sunbeds, shaded seated, as well as complimentary nibbles, soft drinks and wine all day. (10am-8pm).
Parking is available at 17€ per day, including valet parking if required, within a secure gated car park.
If walking from hotel, to the town there is a route through the gardens to cut off a corner of the road.
Staff very attentive, polite and friendly.
Breakfast is currently served in the smaller poolside area, with items to order, including meats, cheeses, omelettes, eggs, bacon, juices, yoghurt, fruit, pastries and hot drinks.
The staff are dealing with post Covid restrictions very well, trying to ensure our holiday is as special as it can be.

The grounds of the hotel were very lovely, with a view of the bay of Naples, a bar overlooking the ocean and a very nice grove of lemon and orange trees, not too far from the town of Sorrento. The staff were generally friendly and helpful, inasmuch as someone who wants to charge you 15 euros for an Aperol Spritz can be.
The true surprising accomplishment, of this hotel, however, is the nature of the materials the rooms are constructed from. The walls of the rooms are created from a material thinner than tissue paper, a brand-new material constructed with the assistance of NASA scientists to actually amplify noise from the outside to the inside. Despite the thin material, it is in fact strong enough to support doors reinforced with materials from the centre of a neutron star, each door with the weight of more than an average city skyscraper. Combined, this ensures that you will have no need for alarm clocks or wakeup calls - as the first hotel guest exits their room in the morning, you will be roused from your slumber with a jolt reminiscent of the 79AD eruption of the nearby Vesuvius. Of course, all other guests will be awoken too, and as each guest leaves their room you fill find returning to sleep impossible, as a cacophony of slams, shouts, and the comforting *schlop-schlop* of flip flops smatters down the hallway.
The hotel has also made the unique decision to hire cleaning staff composed entirely of retired opera singers, who, beginning at around 6AM, will bustle down the hallways and into rooms, singing, shouting, and all but screaming to one another as they use their impressive lungs to announce their presence as they begin to hoover every surface in the hotel.
All in all, it is a beautiful hotel and I would highly recommend it to the incurably deaf or to those with a genetic mutation causing a complete lack for the need to sleep.

Stayed for 10 nights end of July. Had a refurbished room facing spectacular views of Mt Vesuvius & Naples Bay. Room was spotless as were the halls & reception area. Toiletries were replenished daily, there was no mini bar, just water. This room had free wifi ( Ive seen on other reviews this is not always the case) Aircon was fine. Pool is great - on different levels. Theres a small kids club gazebo too poolside. Pool opens at 9am so no ridiculous early morning saving beds. Found a choice of sunbeds every morning- even peak season, but very busy after 11am which is to be expected . Ate out locally every night, its a 10/15 min walk to the towns main restaurants/shops /square where you will find numerous establishments. Sorrento is hilly, there is a shortcut through the garden which cuts out a bit on the walk up to reception. Food & drink at the hotel is not cheap, but you are in an exquisite location at a Hilton so I guess this too is to be expected. We finished each evening with some fantastic cocktails on the terrace bar where there is live music. Drinks come with tiny biscuits/nuts/chocolate which is a nice touch. Parking is plentiful in a lot across the road and is 17 euros per night. There is free parking on the road outside but we didnt see a spare space all stay. Enjoyed our stay immensely. Hotel is in a great location for walking to town, port & small beach if you are mobile. It is just over an hour from Naples airport

This is a beautiful hotel which was built to conform to the contour of the cliff behind. The curved nature of the building provides most rooms with views of the bay and the hills that surround Sorrento.
Staff was attentive and courteous. We were always greeted in English. Check in and check out were quick and efficient. The desk was always able to provide small bills in exchange for the twenty and fifty euro bills we received from the ATM.
Our room was large, squeaky clean, and comfortable, with a large bathroom which had a tub and a separate walk in shower. Our favorite feature was a large sliding glass door that opened onto the balcony. In the morning, we could open the blackout curtains remotely to reveal the view that we could enjoy from the king sized bed.
The lobby is spacious and beautiful and leads to a terrace where you can dine or sit with drinks and enjoy the view of the bay. This area had live entertainment in the evenings when we stayed in July.
Off the lobby there is a glass enclosed, and well ventilated smoking lounge.
The hotel grounds are spacious, and beautifully landscaped with orange and lemon groves, roses, and blooming plants. There are tennis courts on property.
Breakfast was one of the best of our trip. The room was large, bright, and airy, with wide spacing between tables. The floor to ceiling windows along one wall provided views of the bay. The buffets had all the hot and cold items you could want.
In addition, there was one table with local specialties which changed daily. We checked it out every day to see what was new in the way of regional pastries, cured meats, and cheese.
There was also a separate table with breakfast items selected specifically for children.
Servers picked up your plates as soon as you left the table to return to the buffet.
We especially appreciated the self-serve fresh squeezed orange juice machines, and quality self serve coffee.
There is a multi-level pool separated by water falls that the kids loved to slide down. The seating area is large and was never crowded during our stay. Servers were always available to being us beverages in the water.
We had access to and made use of the Executive Lounge for snacks and beverages in the afternoon.
The location provides great views of Sorrento, but with that comes a small price. The walk down to the village takes about 9 minutes from the front door, and the walk back up one or two minutes more. There is a back entrance to the property that cuts off about a minute.

The towels that were put in our room were dirty again I have attatched photographs of these. When we arrived at reception to check out the female member of staff was very rude and dismissive towards my cousin and I. During our whole stay at your hotel we were never once offered a towel card to use at your leisure facilities which is a fault in itself and completely unacceptable. We had our own towels with us anyway as we had planned to use them at the beaches etc. at checkout your female member of staff said “could I have your towel cards” my cousin responded stating that we were never given them which is the entire truth. Then the lady stated that she personally had given us the cards when we initially checked in and accused of us being untruthful. I think if you go back and check your cctv you’ll see that we were never once given towel cards by anyone and never once accused your leisure facilities with your towels it was always our own. One of the evenings I ordered room service to the room I ordered a hamburger with chips with bacon without salad as I have an allergy to lettuce: the food came to the room with no bacon and full of salad. My cousin ate the hamburger and I went to bed without having had anything to eat. Then on our last day we were at the poolside and I have a medical condition called POTS postural tachycardia syndrome which means that I have to lie a certain way can only stand in a certain place for a small duration of time and when I get up from lying down or sitting I have to do it very gradually because otherwise I am at risk of fainting. There are two settings on your sun loungers I had it on the setting where I was lying flatter one of your pool boys came over clicker the sun lounger it shot up at an awful speed and could’ve caused me to faint and said “I was going to break it in that position” which wasn’t the case at all. Half of the people at the poolside had it on the exact same setting as I did. I noticed he did It to an older lady also who had a bad back which wasn’t appropriate at all. During the night there was loud banging above us on and off which was very disruptive and all in all this is the worst experience I have ever had not just at a Hilton hotel but at any hotel in general. I am terminally ill and have been for a number of years this was my first time abroad in seven years and my life expectancy isn’t long at all. My situation has been all over the news and press and if you search my name on the internet you’ll see just how severe my situation is. This holiday was a once in a life opportunity for me and because of the reoccurring incidents at your hotel and because of the way your staff treated us as guests it was not enjoyable at all, it has caused a great amount of stress upset and unhappiness when we should’ve had a lovely stay at your hotel. I have spoken to Hilton and they’ve said I should speak to you in regards to further compensation along with some way to make the whole thing right. So I am writing to you to ask if you’d be willing to refund the rest of our stay as a result of this and would be willing to offer something in the way of a replacement stay to make up for the fact this one had been so awful

We stayed eight nights at the Hilton Sorrento and were upgraded to an Executive room with seaview as we are diamond members.
The staff is wonderful as they are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. All of them speak English well. I find that it is the staff that makes a hotel memorable.
Our room was bright, clean and newly renovated with a large bathroom, storage space and balcony. The bed was large and comfortable. Internet was fast enough for uploading photos. Television had ample foreign channels. Housekeeping did a fine job and our room was always cleaned when we came back from a daytrip.
Just a neutral remark: Although the room is very spacious I found the cupboard space somewhat limited. The space near the entrance where the safe is located offers room for a larger cupboard with drawers.
No external noise what so ever which is a major plus.
Despite Covid the breakfast was varried with hot options and a kind of buffet. No selfservice. Fresh fruit is always a plus.
The executive lounge was located on the ground floor. Wine, hard and soft drinks and some snacks and pastry were offered. The lounge closes at 20.00 which is relatively early. The highlight of the lounge was Guiseppe who offered a very warm and personalized service. He added very positively to an already excellent stay.
We did not have dinner at the hotel as we enjoy trying out local restaurants . We are small eaters and not the kind that like to sit in a restaurant for hours
Parking is 17 euro a day on a private parking lot and there is some free street parking. We chose the paid parking as that is more convenient.
Location is fine and preferreable to a hotel on a busy street. It is a 10 minute downhill walk to Corso Italia and then you are in the middle of the Sorrento action. The train and bus station is also within walking distance, but do not buy a ticket for the express train as it is four times the fare and only skips one station.
When is Sorrento we will certainly stay at the Hilton again.

Just returning from 4 days here.
Although we are all under the shadow of Covid the hotel is coping so well.
Room immaculate and sealed for cleanliness when we arrived.
Room and bathroom lovely. Good linen and towels.
Breakfast was served by the pool as the hotel’s not as busy as normal.breakfast is al la carte as buffet obviously not allowed. Very nice. Coffee excellent.
Pool and sunbeds lovely.. not too busy at the moment.
Hotel gardens are delightful and great views.
Only 2 things not great-
Water pressure for bath and shower slow.
Food quite good for breakfast and lunch but the one dinner we had in the Sorrento restaurant was below par. Overpriced and not tasty.
Apart from that service and stay wonderful.

There is a refrigerator already in the room (we were in #107).
But there was no freezer component.
Perhaps the Concierge can assist?
Hi, please contact the inhouse reservation dept and ask for a quadruple room or connecting rooms.
Kind regards
