In May 2016 we spent two weeks at this hotel, booked though Saga Holidays. We trawled the Saga brochure for Sorrento, but only found one hotel actually in the town - namely the Grand Hotel Europa Palace. The hotel website showed us grand public rooms and wonderful suites with sea views, but at a cost. Even their “standard” rooms looked... More

Stayed for one week, half board basis with Riviera travel. The location is great for walking into Sorrento – 5 minutes from the hotel door to the central area, and tour coaches pick up from the car park directly opposite. The hotel itself is a mixed bag: Pro’s: • Location • View from the terraces and sea view rooms –... More

What a fantastic find for our one night stay in Sorrento. The lobby and public areas are majestic, and feel as if you are in someone's grand villa. The terrace overlooks the sea, and the view is breathtaking. Down below the terrace is the pool, and below that, a pier with beach chairs and steps into the water. Don't miss... More

The Grand Europa gives you the most amazing feeling of staying in a timeless classic! The hotel is clean and beautiful and very well kept. The hotel and the grounds rap you in the greatest of classic Italy. When you go to Sorrento and enjoy the Amalfi coast this is the place that you dream of staying. My wife and... More

The seal on the shower screen over the bath was peeling off and consequently the bathroom was flooded. The hot water tap in the washbasin leaked from the base as did the base of the basin's pedestal. We complained, and the next day, the screen was repaired ,but nothing else. The clips on the left wooden shutter were broken, and... More

We recently returned from a most enjoyable 10 day holiday in the Europa Palace. As previous contributors have said, it's location on the clifftop overlooking the fantastic Bay of Naples with Vesuvius opposite could not be bettered - real travel brochure views. We stayed in the annex building, just beside the main hotel building. We had a second floor corner... More

My husband and I along with two friends recently spent a week at the Europa Palace and I must say it was in the perfect location. Three minutes from the center of Sorrento and with the most wonderful views. The downstairs in the hotel was very grand and the outside space was wonderful, although our rooms had wonderful sea views... More

We had room 107 with balcony and sea view and had travelled with Riviera Travel. Balcony accessed from the double doors had wicker lloyd loom furniture which was separated from other balconies by planters for about 8/10 feet, but all the balconies stretched out further to a huge veranda which merged into one overlooking the Bay of Naples with Vesuvius... Perfectly located on the cliff top above the port with a fantastic view of Mt Vesuvius from the hotel terrace and the more pricey rooms. We had room 115 on the first floor overlooking the road. The road noise during the day was constant but not too obtrusive and at night it didn't prevent us sleeping. The room itself was... More
