Palazzo Marziale is an historical building located just in the heart of Sorrento.Just a step from the public gardens, the lift to the port and beach and the San Francesco's Cloister. Is actually runned by owners who care for it like a "family juwel" and will make you feel like at home. This year the five very spacious rooms have been completely renovated and two restaurant will be available for our guests: the terrace restaurant, open from April to the end of October and a lounge bar/restaurant open all year round.

We booked two deluxe double rooms for a family of 4 and the hotel kindly put us in a private corner making it a family room. Rooms were a good size, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast provided was excellent, fresh pastries and juices together with an alacarte menu. All the staff were friendly and helpful, greeting you with a smile at every encounter. They even noticed it was my son's birthday and surprised him with a lovely local cake. Location was very central, just a short walk to the square and also to some highly rated nearby restaurants. It was a truly relaxing stay and we'd stay here again if we ever get back to Sorrento.

So many hotels across Italy (especially in Rome!) have the audacity to add ‘Palace’ to their titles, even though they are so far from offering any kind of luxury, let alone royal experience!. But this gem in Sorrento’s old heart lives true to the title as well as expectations. This heritage germ that is more than 400 years old used to be an aristocratic residence, and now beautifully restored into a stylish and intimate boutique hotel LOCATION:A central location near the Villa Comunale DINE + DRINK: They offer a nice happy hour in one of the grand living rooms in the evening. And the breakfast is a simple but very pleasant experience ROOM: We stayed in the room titled GLAMOUR, so this review is based on that; VIEW: No view and almost dark as you are surrounded by buildings on all sides!; SIZE: Very spacious room; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: Good spa quality cosmetics FACILITIES: No or Pool on site. Pure Amalfi Chill! SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to SIMONA at the front desk for taking care of all our special requests with a big smile! HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high-speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Plasma TV screen dishing out dozens of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies and a wide variety of entertainment in Limited languages

From the lovely people who work at this hotel, to the location, cleanliness, and overall charm - it's truly wonderful. The room was lovely and had an old world charm, but with all the modern amenities one could need (e.g., USB ports near the bed). The entire hotel was clean and beautiful. The staff were so helpful and friendly (and accommodating to my very limited Italian). The location of the hotel is perfect, walkable to all of Sorrento. Could not have been happier with my stay here and would definitely return.

We spent five nights at the Palazzo Marziale and were very happy with the experience. It is located right in the heart of old Sorrento, walking distance to the main square and to the marinas. It is a lovely old palazzo, with a number of richly furnished common areas, and a nice terrace where breakfast is served. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, with good tips for restaurants and arranged some tours for us. The full breakfast was very nice, and they even provided gluten-free bread for my husband who is celiac. Even though they are inside the restricted area, we were allowed to drive our rental car right up to the hotel no problem, and they arranged a valet service who would take the car and bring it back when we requested. Even at night, the police would stop us when driving into the zone, but we would explain "we're at the Palazzo Marziale" and they would let us in. Sorrento was a great base to explore the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii and Herculaneum, and this was a perfect place to stay.

This wonderful hotel is located near the cliffs and the elevator to the sea. We found the rooms very comfortable and the staff friendly. The breakfast was a luxurious buffet including all the usual things. Everything was grand.
