We stayed at Palazzo Marziale during a recent 9 day stay in Sorrento. We were visiting friends and used this location as our hopping off point to all the local sights... Sorrento, Capri, Positano, Naples, Ercolano... you name it, we did it. The point here is that we enjoyed simply "coming home" to our room at Palazzo Marziale. The staff...

We stayed in nine different accommodations during our recent trip to Italy. Because the following experiences were fairly consistent from place to place, I offer them not as criticisms but as observations on cultural differences. We found that beds were VERY firm, showers small, that toiletries always included shower caps but never conditioner, that bedrooms and baths contained highly scented...

Paula, the gracious proprietor of the Palazzo, has perfected the art of welcoming the traveller who is weary yet ready to explore Sorrento and its beautiful surroundings. The Palazzo is loaded with atmosphere and style. The room was clean and well-appointed. The large bed was very comfortable and the linen clean and crisp affording a good night's rest. The breakfast...

This hotel is fab-u-lous!! We had wanted to visit this area of Italy for quite a while and had looked at (on the internet) many hotels before finally deciding although came with a relatively open mind as, after all, hotel promotional literature is often slightly exaggerated!! Not this time, if anything it is understated - the property, approximately 600 years...

Palazzo Marziale was the best hotel we stayed in Italy. Its extremely well located, near the main road and near the sea. The decoration is amazing, like a real palace. Breakfast is great, full of options. And Paula, the owner, is really sweet and kind. I would definetely recommend.

This hotel has a perfect location, next to everything you need in Sarrento (gelatterias, restaurants, museums, beach) and we were still able to enjoy our room without noise from outside. The interior is simply fabulous. It's an old mansion, well mantained, rooms are spacious, great view, beautifully decorated and refined. They serve good breakfast considering you are in italy and...

One of the best places we have stayed in all our travels through Europe. Great location, beautiful room, fabulous breakfast, superb staff. Highly recommended. The decor of this hotel is especially pretty, being a renovated old villa.

Wonderful location and the room was very large, airy and just fantastic. What a fabulous idea to not have room numbers but names. Ours was "Love". It was wonderful just to explore and admire everything. Paola is lovely and it an absolute pleasure to stay at Palazzo Marziale. This was definitely my favourite place throughout our trip. Loved sitting out...

Beautiful hotel, lots of character, bathrooms huge. Great location. Breakfast was very adequate. It would have been perfect had breakfast been earlier in the morning, 8.00 am is too late. Comfortable beds.
