Detailed Reviews
This hotel is amazing, perfect location and absolutely stunning. Typical Italian decor, with beautiful tiled flooring. Everything about this hotel is so pretty from the hotel rooms to the grounds. The rooms were very well organised with the mirror by the dressing table with a socket, this hardly ever happens in other hotels which is so annoying. The staff are all amazing from Danila who was the barman which our boys loved chatting to and Pasquale who greeted everyone by the pool each day and helped with the sunbeds and towels. Reception gave us a great map and highlighted areas of interest. The balconies in the rooms are all wonderful with great views. The pool area is very relaxing with late afternoon soft lounge music playing which is soooo calming. The rooms are spacious and well decorated with very comfortable beds. I can't wait to return and wouldn't stay anywhere else. I still can't belive it was just 2 mins walk to the main square. I hope all the staff at this hotel have a great year after all the virus problems ongoing. I'll return soon

A wonderful place to stay just off the main square in the heart of Sorrento, only 5 minutes walk to bars, restaurants, pedestrianised area full of interesting shops as well as the steps down to the marina.
Also conveniently located for the bus stop to the airport and Circumvesuviana train station.
The hotel decor beautiful is very traditional, with friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble for them.
Pretty pool / bar area set in a garden of lime trees and we were lucky to get a room upgrade to a classic room set back from the garden.
Definitely recommend and hope to return.
NB with current climate the social distancing guidelines were very well observed. There were many hand sanitising points throughout the hotel, notices about how many guests were allowed in the lift at any time and all the waiting staff in the pool bar and breakfast room wore face coverings all the time even when serving breakfast to the outdoor tables. Around the pool the staff were quick to sanitise every table sun bed as it was vacated.

We had two rooms that adjourn since we are a family traveling with our kids. One room smelled of smoke when we checked in and the other a mix of chlorine and way too much parfumerie cleaning spray. Our rooms were
right by the pool which afforded us little privacy. The rooms were a bit dated and in need of some paint/repairs and facelift. The breakfast was very nice but there are wasps should you choose to eat outdoors. The location is nice but the pool staff need to be more on top of picking up towels off empty chairs that just sit for hours making it challenging for people to find seats at the pool. People should not be entitled to saving seats for hours.

The location is very central to all that Sorrento offers but for me this is where the good things ended. I booked just one night as I needed to be close to town and left the Hilton reluctantly. The hotel is not 4 star quality, my room was basic, incredibly noisy, right next to the lift so it made a horrible noise all night. The aircon was noisier, as usual they gave me their worst room and this time I was too tired to take up their offer to change at 11 pm at night when I was woken by the noise. The reception staff are not well informed, I told them I was going to Pompeii and it was a Monday, they did not tell me it was closed, would have been nice of them to know as the web site I checked did not mention the closure or need for internet ticket booking. The breakfast was again chaotic, similar issues to Hilton with poor understanding of the order to serve breakfast, poorly trained staff and 1 person serving who also has to carry the tray and set it up for each guest so if there is more than 2 people the wait is terrible as each guest picks food one by one which is mostly cakes. There is no mention of hot food but it is available. They need to improve the service and it is surprising how little is understood about how to serve breakfast.

When we arrived in Sorrento on January 1st without our luggage (airline mess up), we made a decision to have it ruin our trip or deal with it. After 3 days of no luggage the Hotel staff stepped in and offered to help. I am sure that they would have even helped sooner, but we were dealing with it pretty good up till then. When they jumped in, they went over and above making calls and arrangements to try and get our luggage back. They were very instrumental in helping up get all returned (4 days without it). The staff was the best ever, and the hotel was spotless anywhere you looked, you can tell they take great pride in their service and upkeep of the property. AND, let’s discuss breakfast, not your usual “continental” breakfast. My 20-year old daughter said, on the last day, that she looked forward to breakfast “every” day. We all laughed, as we were all thinking the same thing! Breakfast was an experience, not a meal. Two months after returning home I still wish I could recreate the experience. Location-wonderful, right off Piazza Tasso, and during Epiphany week, the lights and holiday atmosphere was still very vibrant. Although I “thought” I would have liked to have come to Sorrento for my first trip during a warmer month, I now am glad we came when we did. This is a great week to come and really experience a holiday in Italy. Thank you Hotel Antiche Mura, for your care and concern during our stay, I can’t wait to come back! This time with luggage!!

The Antiche Mura Hotel and the staff was simply amazing! This hotel and their staff bring home to reality what I learned as a child growing up about the Italian Culture and way of life: Hospitality, Company, Respect and more Hospitality. Stefano, Andrea and the servers at breakfast made our stay so very special. The breakfast was delicious every morning and the service was a 10. The hotel kitchen offered a wide-range of breakfast dishes like eggs, bacons, Italian prosciutto(two kinds) and other assorted meats and cheeses. It was like a four course breakfast!! Add on fruit(melons and fresh peaches and tons of pastry and you get the picture).
Another great amenity among so many is the parking that the hotel offers. It was very important to us to have a rental car to make our travel itinerary as flexible as possible traveling along the Amalfi Coast for day trips. Antonio was bravissimo always taking great care to bring our car upon request and the rates are very reasonable. They offered us the benefit of keeping the car parked at their location when we made our way over to Capri! The grounds of the hotel resemble a garden and are kept immaculate. When we returned to our room every evening after amazing excursions, we found the rooms simply immaculate! I cannot say enough good things about the cleaning staff. When people greet you every morning and wish you Buon Giornata, now that's Amore!! We love the Antiche Mura family and recommend them for your bella vacazione!!

Good hotel, location perfect... room on small side, we had our room facing street and it was very loud all cars and motorbikes was so loud ... they providing parking but not for free it cost €20 per day. Swimming pool area really nice quiet and charming. Breakfast was very good. One downside we had pet it is pet friendly, but you cannot go with your dog to garden or restaurant which is not ideal if it is pet friendly it should be pet friendly!!!!

Set in an absolutely perfect location, just meters from the main square, this hotel is ideal for sightseeing but also has a wonderful, quiet pool to relax in at the end of a busy day.
The other huge selling point is it's wonderful staff who are incredibly helpful, polite, friendly and professional.
3 very small reasons why I didn't give it 5 stars - no kettle or mugs in the room (& we British do love our cuppa in the mornings!), the balcony was tiny and could just get two of us on it at a squeeze & there was no way to put a memory stick or fire stick in the tv so we couldn't use it (other than the usual news channels) That said, I would have no hesitation in staying here again or recommending it to friends and family. Many thanks to all concerned for a wonderful week.

We stayed 7 nights in Antiche Mura at the end of October and would highly recommend it.
The location could not be more central; the rooms are clean, comfortable and colourful with everything that you need; and the staff are friendly and helpful (especially Daniele who kept us entertained by the pool and in the hotel bar).
It's the perfect location to explore beautiful Sorrento and is a short walk from the train station (for Pompeii), the marina (for Capri & Positano) and the bus station (for the Amalfi coast - though I'd strongly suggest a private car for that trip rather than taking the bus!).
Fellow guests were really friendly and we swapped tips on places to eat and trips to take over breakfast and by the pool which was really great. The only warning is that the cakes at breakfast are so good you simply will not be able to resist !

We absolutely loved our stay in Antiche Mura in Sorrento - its location, the hotel itself and its staff. We upgraded to a Comfort room having initially booked Economy - and did not regret it due to the beautiful views of Sorrento from our balcony. The staff is very attentive and helpful - from chocolates left in our room every night to them arranging a breakfast packaged upon our early departure. The hotel itself is beautiful, and has a citrus fruit garden as well as a pool, complete with a pool bar. The breakfast is also worth visiting for alone. They have also taken measures during the covid 19 pandemic, so we felt safe staying there. We would love to come back!

They don’t provide them as standard but if you ask reception they will happily bring you a beautifully stocked tea tray and kettle
Our covid test was arranged by the hotel.
Sorry I do,not know the answer to this.
I would recommend calling the hotel direct.
