I have just come back from a stunning long weekend in Capri. I already knew the Hotel Mamela but last time I was there was more than 12 years ago. I must say that the Hotel is sill an excellent compromise between location (just few...More
My daughter & I stayed in this hotel for a week. The hotel itself is nice, rooms are big with beautiful tiles. Location is great and it has a nice swimming pool. The service & management is really poor. There were families in the hotel...More
Hotel Mamela staff is the best! They were very helpful and patient making changes for our trip. This is something rarely to find. To make reservations and then change them a million times is not easy but they made sure everything was taken care of.
This hotel has a lot of potential to be a 4 star but it's really a 3. The location is great as it's off the main path and quiet, but still easy to walk everywhere. The grounds are nice - great pool, view, and a...More
Went with my boyfriend to this hotel and it was more than I expected: a very big suite, with plenty of space for your suitcases. We've got a room with sea view balcony, and it was great. The breakfast was in a very fancy hall,...More

I have a walking disability. Are there a lot of stairs and how far a walk to the piazza? What was the cost of transport from the airport?

We did not fly into Capri. Instead we took a boat from the mainland as part of an extended trip. I do not recall seeing an airport on Capri, but I might have missed it. What I recall was people flying into Naples and then taking a high speed ferry to Capri. If that is the case, then one would have a cab ride from the Naples airport to the port, then the cost of the ferry, then maybe a cab or whatever from the Capri port to the center of the city.
